At a Called Meeting of the Board of Commissioners held in the Commission
at 7:3 0
P.M.
Chamber of the City Hall, Paducah, Kentucky/on December 1, 1960, Mayor Cherry
presided and upon call of the Roll the following answered to their names: Commissioner;
J�Davis, Gholson, Hook and Mayor Cherry (4); Commissioner Fendley being absent (1).
Mayor Cherry offered motion that the executed copies of the Notice of
Called Meeting to be held at 7:30 P.M. on December 1, 1960, be received and filed.
Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Members Davis, Gholson, Hook and Mayor Cherry (4).

Police report Commissioner Davis offered motion that the report of the police department

for the month of November, 1960, be received and filed. Adopted on call of the

Sell grave Commissioner Davis offered motion that the Board of Commissioners approve the

Ora Dunbar sale by the City of Paducah to Mrs. Ora Dunbar of the south east corner of Lot No. 17
in Block No. B of the Rushing Addition to Oak Grove Cemetery, and that the City Clerk
be authorized to execute a deed of conveyance to said cemetery grave. Adopted on call
of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Davis, Gholson, Hook and Mayor Cherry (4)

Contract Wiley' Commissioner Gholson offered motion that the executed contract between Wiley &
& Lackey & t_
Hollis & Griggs Lackey of Paducah, Kentucky, and Hollis & Griggs, Inc. Engineers of said city for
Bellemeade
Sewer professional engineering services in supervising and directing the construction of
Contract No. 1, Bellemeade Sanitary Sewers, be received and filed. Adopted on call
of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Davis, Gholson, Hook and Mayor Cherry (4).
Settle Claim �K Commissioner Gholson offered motion that the claim of Frank Kortz (Route #8,
Frank Kortz
i Paducah, Kentucky) in the sum of 435.25, for damages to his motor vehicle, on November
2$, 1960, at 4th and Elizabeth Streets, caused by Police vehicle, be allowed; and that
the City Treasurer be, and he is hereby, directed to pay same after securing a full
and complete release. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Davis,
Gholson, Hook and Mayor Cherry (4).

cost of Contract No. 1 Bellemeade Sanitary Sewers, under the contract with L. E. Crolley`
doing business as Crolley Construction Company; and further move that the Treasurer
transfer to said account the sum of x20,000.00 from the Sewer Service and Construction
Fund Account; and further move that said sum be expended in payment to the said L. E.
Crolley, doing business as Crolley Construction Company, under the terms and conditions
as set out in his contract; and further move that if said work shoudl not be performed i
by the said L. E. Crolley, doing business as Crolley Construction Company, the aforesaid
sum of 413,6$9.35 be refunded to Wiley & Lackey, and that the aforesaid sum of 420,000.09
be placed back in the Sewer Service and Construction Fund Account. Adopted on call of
the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Davis, Gholson, Hook and Mayor Cherry (4).
Mayor Cherry offered motion that the Board of Commissioners approve the sale
by the City of Paducah to Robert Tharpe of the north west corner of Lot No. 1$ in Block
No. 8 of the Rushing Addition to Oak Grove Cemetery, and that the City Clerk be authoriz d
to execute a deed of conveyance to said cemetery grave. Adopted on call of the Roll,
Yeas, Commissioners Davis, Gholson, Hook and Mayor Cherry (4).

Request bidsv Commissioner Hook offered motion that a Resolution entitled: "A RESOLUTION

AUTHORIZING.THE CITY MANAGER TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR FURNISHING THE CITY OF PADUCAH
WITH ITS REQUIREMENTS OF REGULAR AND ETHYL GASOLINE, MOTOR OIL, DIESEL FUEL, CHASSIS
LUBRICANT, GEAR LUBE OIL, HYDRAULIC OIL, KEROSENE AND ANTIFREEZE TO BE USED BY THE
CITY OF PADUCAH FROM JANUARY 1, 1961 TO JUNE_30, 196111, be adopted. Adopted on
call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Davis, Gholson, Hook and Mayor Cherry (4).

Commissioner Gholson offered motion that an ordinance entitled: "AN ORDI
ACCEPTING THE BID OF L. E. CROLLEY, DOING BUSINESS AS CROLLEY CONSTRUCTION COMPANY IN
THE AMOUNT OF $33,689.35 FOR FURNISHING ALL MATERIAL AND WORK FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF
CONTRACT NO. 1 BELLEMEADE SANITARY SEWERS IN THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, AUTHORIZI
THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE, ON BEHALF OF SAID CITY, A CONTRACT WITH L. E. CROLLEY, DOING
BUSINESS AS CROLLEY CONSTRUCTION COMPANY, FOR SAID MATERIAL AND WORK, AND PRESCRIBING
THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF SAID CONTRACT", be adopted. Adopted on call of the Ro.
