At a Regular Looting of the Board of Commissioners held in the Commission
Chamber of the City Hall, Paducah, Kentucky, at 7:30 P..':, on July 12, 1960, ::ayor
Cherry presided and upon call of the Roll the following answered to their names:
Commissioners Davis, Fendley, holson, Hook and Sayor Cherry (5).
Mayor Cherry offered motion that the reading of the ;:inutes for June 28th,
and July 5th, 1960 be waived and that the ilinut'es of said meeting prepared by the
City Clerk be approved as rmitten. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners
Davis, Fendley, Gholson, hook and ;•Iayor Cherry (5).

Commissioner Davis offered motion that exoherations prepared and delivered

by the City Treasurer, being No. 316 through IIo. 61$ inclusive, be received and
filed, and that the amounts of same totaling •'120,306.$1 be exonerated on the tax
bills as shorn and designated by said exonerations. Adopted on call of the Roll,

Settle claim Commissioner Fendley offered the follo:•ling motion: I move that the claim of
Jerry Hines
Jerry Hines (RFD 15) against the City, in the sum of .23.15, for damages done to his
motor vehicle by a city park vehicle, in Noble Park on July 5, 1960, be allowed.
I further move that the City Treasurer be, and he is hereby, directed to
pay said amount, after securing a full and complete release. Adopted on call of the

Commissioner Cholson offered motion that this Board receive, approve and file
Certificate of Insurance issued by The Fidelity and Casualty Company of :'err York

Commissioner Gholson offered motion that the liability insurance policy issued
by United States Fidelity and Guaranty Company to the City of Paducah, covering
:cork done by Roscoe Burgess for a period of one year from July 9, 1960, be received,

Commissioner Hook offered the followii7k„ motion: James R. Reeves is the
owner of property located in Caly Park Subdivision, Paducah, Kentucky, and said
owner desires that the extension of the e.:isting crater mains be made so as to
provide water service to the property above referred to.
It appears from the endorsement of the Board of dater Commissioners that the
applicant has complied with all rules and regulations of said Paduca'.1 dater corks
as approved by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Paducah. I therefore move
that the application of James R. Reeves be accepted and approved and that the Board
of Commissioners of Paducah Plater Works be authorized to execute the agreement for
the laying of said extension and that the Board of Commissioners ci
works be authorized to install a six inch water main, beginning at the existing main
located in the intersection of' 23rd and Clay Street and extend approximately 520
feet 4n a northerly direction along 23rd Street to the intersection of LaClede
Avenue; thence in a westerly direction along LaClede Avenue to the intersection of
24th Street a distance of approximately 430 feet; thence in a northerly direction
along 23rd Street from LaClede Avenue to the intersection of 23rd and Park Avenue
a distance of approimately 3•';0 feet-; thence in a southerly direction along 24th
Street from the intersection of LaClade Avenue to the intersection of 21,th and

Clay Str3et a distance of approximately 666 feet; thence in a westerly direction
along Trimble Street from the intersection of 24th Street a distance of approximately

I further move that the adoption of this resolution and tie granting of the
request contained in said application be considered as an agreement on the part of
the City of Paducah to pay the fire hydrant and crater main rental, as provided in
the franchise, on the pipe lime referred to in the petition and in this motion.
Said rental to begin when said water main has been installed and water provided
