At a Called Meeting of the Board of Commissioners held in the Commission
Chamber of the City Hall, Paducah, Kentucky, at 7:30 P.I•i. on March 17, 1959, Mayor
Jacobs presided and upon call of the Roll the following answered to their names:
Commissioners Fairhurst, Gholson, Hook and Mayor Jacobs (4), Commissioner Fendley
absent,
Mayor Jacobs offered motion that the executed copies of the Notice of Called
Meeting to be held at 7:30 P.M. on March 17, 1959, be received and filed. Adopted on
call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Fairhurst, Gholson, Hook, and Mayor Jacobs (4).
Commissioner Gholson offered motion that the Board of Commissioners receive
and file the attached correspondence favoring a curfew law in the City of Paducah.

Commissioner Gholson offered motion that the City Treasurer be, and he is
hereby, directed to transfer the sum of •5,857.01 from Account #6091 to the Public
Works Cumulative Reserve Fund, making a balance in said Cumulative Reserve Fund of
;)6,331.00 which is to be used in paying the contract price of Walker Process Equipment,
Inc. for a public works improvement of the sewage disposal system, after such contract
has been satisfactorily completed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners
Fairhurst, Gholson, Hook and Mayor Jacobs (4).
Commissioner Fairhurst offered motion that an ordinance entitled: "AN
ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF REED CRUSHED STONE COMPANY, INC. FOR SALE TO THE CITY
OF PADUCAH OF �7, 7Y8, rf( AND 1=11 LIMESTONE, KENTUCKY STATE HIGHUAY SPECIFICATIONS, FOR
USE BY THE CITY DURING 1959, AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO AND EXECUTE
A CONTRACT FOR THE PURCHASE OF SAME, AND PRESCRIBING THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS UNDER
WHICH SAID PURCHASES SHALL BE MADE", be adopted. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas,
Commissioners Fairhurst, Gholson, Hook and Mayor Jacobs (4).
Commissioner Fairhurst offered motion that an ordinance entitled: "AN
ORDINANCE PROPOSING ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN PROPERTY LYING ADJACENT TO THE SOUTH WEST
CORPORATE LIIdITS OF TIL CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY; DEFINING ACCURATELY THE BOUNDARY
OF SUCH TERRITORY TO BE ANNEXED TO SAID CITY; AND DECLARING TIL DESIRABILITY AND
NECESSITY OF SUCH ANNEXATION", be adopted. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas,
Commissioners Fairhurst, Gholson, Hook and Mayor Jacobs (4).
