At a Regular ideeting of the Board of Commissioners held in the Commission
Chamber of the City Hall, Paducah, Kentucky, at 7:30 o'clock. P.bl, on June 11,., 1960
Mayor Pro Ten Hook presided in the absence of I•layor Cherry and upon call of the Roll
the following answered to their names: Commissioners Davis, Fendley, Gholson and
Mayor Pro Tem Hook (4).
I-layor Pro Tem Hook offered motion that the reading of the Minutes for I?ay 24,
27, June 1 and June 11, 1960 be waived and that the Minutes of said meetinz as prepare
by the City Clerk be approved as written. Adopted on call of the Poll, Yeas,
Commissioners Davis, Fendley, Gholson and I•Iayor Pro Tem Hook (4).
Commissioner David offered motion that the letter from Raymond B. Dycus, City
Attorney of Smithland, Kentucky, expressing appreciation for the assistance rendered
by the Paducah Fire Department on the night of I -,ay 22, 1960, be received and filed,

Commissioner Davis offered motion that the following bids on petroleum product{
for the period from July 1, 1960 through December 31, 1960 be received and filed:

Commissioner Davis offered the following motion: I move that the proposal of
i•lilliam W. Farrell and Charles F. Farrell, doing business as The Reliable Advertising
Company, requesting permission to place advertising benches at various spots upon
public property of the City for the accommodation of persons waiting for bus and
other transportation, be received and filed.
I further move that the matter be referred to the Corporation Counsel for the
preparation of an ordinance granting such permission for submission to this Board.

Pro Tem Hook (4).
Commissioner Fendley offered motion that the following bids for the sale of
fire hose to the City of Paducah, be received and filed:

Commissioner Gholson offered motion that the City Manager be directed to
install a street light- on South 25th Street between Kentucky Avenue ani Washington
Street. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Davis, Fendley, Gholson
and I•iayor Pro Tem Hook (4).
Commissioner Gholson offered motion that the following named persons be,
and they are hereby employed in the park department of the City of Paducah for the
following positions, effective date of employment and rate of pay:
