Nayor Cherry offered motion that the executed copies of the I:otice of Called Meeting to be held at 12:00 Noon on Saturday,.June 11, 1960, be received and .filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Davis, Gholson, Hook and Mayor Cherry (4). Commissioner Davis offered motion that the letter from Ernest P. Kitchell, Acting Secretary -Treasurer of the Electric Plant Board of the City of Paducah, enclosing copy of a resolution adopted by said Board of June $, 1960, be received and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Davis, Gholson, Hook and iayor Cherry (4) Commissioner Davis offered motion that a Resolution entitled: "A RESOLUTION APPROVING AND ACCEPTIiG THE REPORT OF THE BOARD OF APPRAISERS PLACIIIG A VALUATION UPON TIM ELECTRIC DISTRIBUTION SYSTF14 OF KENTUCKY UTILITIES COMPANY IN THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, AMID DIRECTING THE CORPORATION COUNSEL TO PREPARE AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR SUBIMISSION TO THE VOTERS OF THE CITY AS TO THE ISSUANCE OF THE NECESSARY REVENUE BONDS TO PAY FOR SUCH SYSTEId AND INCIDENTAL AND RELATED EXPENSES Ii! Commissioner Gholson offered motion that the City Treasurer be, and he is hereby, authorized to pay al$.10 to 011ie floods (1425 I!orth 7th Street) in full for injuries suffered by his infant son, Melvin :•foods, on May 16, 1960 by a city truck near 6th and Terrell Streets, after obtaining a full and complete release. Adopted on call of till Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Davis, Gholson, Hook and ;;ayor Cherry Commissioner Hook offered the following motion: The blade Company is the ormer of property located on Trimble Street between 25th and 27th, and said ormer desires that the extension of the existing water main be made so as to provide water service to the property above referred to. It appears from the endorsement by the Board of Commissioners of Water 'forks that the applicant has complied with all rules and regulations of said Paducah '.'later forks as approved by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Paducah. I therefore move the application of The '.Jade Company be accepted and approved and that the Board of Commiss- ioners of Paducah dater ;'forks be authorized to execute the agreement for the laying of said extension and that the Board of Commissioners of Paducah 'dater :forks be authorized to install a six inch main along Trimble Street, beginning at the existinc main on the east side of Trimble Street and 27th and extend in an easterly direction to the nest si of 25th Street, a distance of approximately 710 .feet. I further move that the adoption of this resolution and the granting of the request contained in said application be considered as an agreement on the part of the City of Paducah to pay the fire hydrant and crater main rental, as provided in the franchise, on the pipe line referred to in petition and in this motion. Said rental to begin when said water main has been laid and water provided for on the Street above referred to. Ronald Lee Mayor Cherry offered motion that Ronald Lee Johnson be employed as temporary Johnson employed as Chainman in the Engineering Department at a salary of X230.00 per month, retroactively Chainman in Eng. P'Iayor Cherry offered motion that the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorize and directed to authorize the Kentucky Utilities Company to install forty (40) six thousand lumen lamps on the Beltline Highway between 21st w Old Mayfield Road to just past the intersection of Beltline Highway and Broim Street; the annual cost to the City being the sum of 334.00 per lamp per year, payable monthly at the rate of ;¢113.33 per month.
