Proceedings of Board of Commissioners city of Paducah December 2.2 1959
At a Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioner held in the Commission
i Chamber of the City Hall, Paducah, Kentucky, at 7:30 P.M. on December 22, 1959, Mayor
Jacobs presided and upon call of the Roll the following answered to their names: _

Commissioners Fendley, Gholson, Hook and Mayor Jacobs (4), Commissioner Fairhurst
being absent (1).
Mayor Jacobs offered motion that the reading of the Minutes for December 8th
and December 15th, 1959 be waived and that the Minutes of said meeting as prepared by
the City Clerk be approved as written. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas,

Holiday i day Commissioner Gholson offered motionthat all city employees, with the exception

Settlement Commissioner Gholson offered motion that the reports of the Paducah Water Works'

Liability Ins Commissioner Gholson offered motion that the liability insurance policy issued by

Associates United States Fidelity and Guaranty Company covering the City of Paducah with respect
to permits issued to Seth E. Giem and Associates for a period of one year from December
3, 1959, be received, approved and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas,

Tremon Pace
Commissioner Gholson offered motionthat the claim of Tremon Pace against the City
in the sum of x50.00 for damages to his motor vehicle on or about September 13, 1959
on :Vest Jefferson Street due to an alleged street defect be allowed and that the Treasur

Mayor Jacobs made the following appointment:
It appearing that the term of David Fine as a member of the Board of Trustees
of Public Library expired on June 14, 1959, and that theretofore and on October 7,
1958 he had resigned, I now if, 1963. appoint David Sawyer as a member of such board
for a term e.:piring June lf, 1963.
