Proceedings of- B°ard of Commissioners City of Paducah—June_=, 1951,
At a Called Meeting of the Board of Commissioners held in the 0ommission Chamber
of the City Hall, Paducah, Kentucky, at 11:30 A.1.1. on June 16, 1954, Mayor Cherry
presided and upon call of the Roll the following answered to their names: Commissioners
Hannin, Hughes, Riggs and Mayor Cherry (4.). Commissioner Jacobs being absent when the
meeting was called to order.
Mayor Cherry offered motion that copies of Notice of Called Meeting to be held
at 11:30 'A.M. on June 16, 1954, be received and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll,
Yeas, Commissioners Hannin, Hughes, Riggs and Mayor Cherry (4).
Petition Commissioner Hughes offered motion that the petition signed by C. F. Lange and
gravel alley
off 21st others requesting that the alley off 21st Street between Monroe and Madison Streets be
btw. Monroe,
& Madison graveled, be received, filed and referred to the City Manager for investigation and report.

Liability .rl Commissioner Hannin offered motion that the Board of Commissioners receive, file

Geurin Conc" and approve Certificate of Insurance issued by the Home Indemnity Company protecting the
Products .
City of Paducah with respect to work done by Eugene H. Geurin d/b/a Geurin Concrete
Products for a period of one year from March 1, 1954. Adopted on call of the Roll,
Yeas, Commissioners Hannin, Hughes, Riggs and Mayor Cherry (4).

Pay Seth ! Commissioner Riggs offered motion that the stat ement from Thomas J. Nolan & Sons
E. Giem on
Hosp. Add in the amount of $20,000.00 for services rendered by Seth E. Giem & Associates, also
the letter from the Paducah Municipal Hospital Commission by its Chairman, approving the
payment of said account, be received and filed, and that payment thereof be approved and
the City Treasurer be directed to pay same from funds in the Riverside Hospital Building
Account. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Hannin, Hughes, Riggs and
Mayor Cherry (4).

Street light
Riggs and Mayor Cherry (5). 851 Levin Commissioner Jacobs offered the following motion: I move that the City Manager

be directed to have an investigation made to determine the need for a street light at
approximately 851 Levin Avenue.
I further move that if upon investigation it is found that said light is needed,
that he instruct the Kentucky Utilities Company to install said light on the pole across
the street from 851 Levin Avenue. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners J

On motion the meeting adjourned.
