At a Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners held in the Commission
Chamber of the City Hall, Paducah, Kentucky, at 8:30 A.M. on rdovember 23, 1957, idayor
Jacobs presided and upon call of the Roll the following answered to their names:
Commissioners Clark, Lally, I.IcBride, Trevathan and Mayor Jacobs (5).
Mayor Jacobs offered motion that the reading of the Minutes for Hovember 2nd,
7th and 20th, 1957 be waived and that the Minutes of said meetings as prepared by the
City Clerk be approved as written. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners
Clark, Lally, McBride, Trevathan and Mayor Jacobs (5).
Commissioner Clark offered motion that the petition signed by E. F. Beaman and
others, requesting a street light to be installed on South 23rd Street between Kentucky
Avenue and Washington Street, together with a report of investigation and recommendatior
from the Police Department, be received and filed; He further moved that the City
Manager be authorized to request installation to be made by the Kentucky Utilities
Company. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Clark, Lally, McBride,
Trevathan and Mayor Jacobs (5).
Street light 11 Commissioner Clark offered motion that the petition signed by Mr. &Mrs. Rob

J. Uagar and others requesting a street light at 31st and Harrison Street, together
with the report of investigation by the Police Department, be received and filed; He
further moved that the City Kanager be authorized to request the Kentucky Utilities

Commissioner Lally offered motion that Charlie Johnston be and he is hereby
employed as a temporary laborer in the Floodwall Department at the rate of ;11.17:
per hour, effective November 22, 1957. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas,
Commissioners Clark, Lally, McBride, Trevathan and Mayor Jacobs (5).
ty Commissioner Clark offered motion that the Board of Commissioners receive, file
and approve Certificate of Insurance issued by the Fidelity and Casualty Company of
New York to Brady & Robert Thomasson d/b/a Brady Thomasson and Son and the City of
Paducah, Kentucky for a period of one year from December 29, 1957. Adopted on call of
the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Clark, Lally, McBride, Trevathan and Mayor Jacob3-:(5).
Commissioner Lally offered motion that the deed dated i?ovenber r„ 1957 from the
United States of America to the City of Paducah, Kentucky, conveying the property kno•.rn
as the 11U. 33. Sub -Depot Property" which has been recorded in Deed Book 390, page 221

'lilliam H. Commissioner Trevathan offered motion as follows: It appearing that
D H. Deboe, an employee of the Refuse Division of the Public Works Department, ha:
three garnishees to be placed against his salary, I, now therefore, move that hi
services be terminated, effective December 1, 1957. Adopted on call of the F

Employ Albe Commissioner Trevathan offered motion that thb employment of Albert
Lynch in
Cemetery as temporary laborer in the Cemetery Department, be affirmed and ratified as of
October 18, 1957, and that said Albert Lynch be paid for such work at the rate C
