HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes Book 23, Page 467, November 7, 1957No. 467 Proceedings of Board of Commissioners _ _ City of Paducah November 7. 1957 Notices of i=eeting Operation & Use Permit -Sewage Treatment Plant At a Called Meeting of the Board of Commissioners held in the Commission Chamber of the City Hall, Paducah, Kentucky, at 7:30 P.M. on November 7, 1957, Mayor Jacobs presided and upon call of the Roll the following answered to their names: Commissioners Clark, Tic Bride, Trevathan and Mayor Jacobs (4), Commissioner Lally being absent (1). Mayor Jacobs offered motion that the executed copies of the Notice of Called P•:eeting to be held at 7:30 P.M. on November 7, 1957, be received and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Clark, McBride, Trevathan and Mayor Jacobs (4). Commissioner Clark offered motion that this Board receive and file the Operation and Use Permit for the sewage treatment plant granted to the City of Paducah by the Mater Pollution Control Commission of the Commonwealth of Kentucky for the period from October 25, 1957 to June 30, 1958. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas Commissioners Clark, McBride, Trevathan and Mayor Jacobs (4) Terminate Donald Commissioner McBride offered motion that the employment and services of Lee Trimble II Terminate Gready Ferrell Ashley Exonerate tax V bills 19764 thru 19809 Accept as comp Sewage Improve program - make final payments Apportionment Ordinance 1957 Donald Lee Trimble as a temporary laborer in the Public Works Department be, and the same is hereby terminated as of October 15, 1957. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Clark, McBride, Trevathan and Mayor Jacobs (4). Commissioner McBride offered motionthat the employment and services of Gready Ferrell Ashley as a temporary laborer in the Public Works Department be, and the same is hereby terminated as of October 31, 1957. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Clark, T-IcBride, Trevathan and Mayor Jacobs (4). Commissioner Trevathan offered motion that exonerations prepared and delivered by the City Treasurer, being #19764 through #19809, inclusive, be received and filed, and that the amounts of same totaling 6?707.46 be exonerated on the tax bills shown and designated by said exonerations. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissic Clark, McBride, Trevathan and Mayor Jacobs (4). Commissioner Clark offered motion that a Resolution entitled: "A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING AS COMPLETED THE CONTRACTS OF CARROTHERS CONSTRUCTION COMPANY, INCORPORATED, EASTWOOD PLUMBING AILD HEATING CO;IPANY AND CARMAC CONSTRUCTION COMPANY IN CON;TECTION :'12TH THE SANITARY SErJERAGE IMPROVEMENT PROGRAI•I, AND AUTHORIZING TIL CITY TREASURER TO MAKE FINAL PAYM-NT", be adopted. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Clark, McBride, Trevathan and Mayor Jacobs (4). i Commissioner Trevathan offered motion that an ordinance entitled: "All ORDINA."ICE FIXING THE APPORTIOII[dENT OF THE PUBLIC FUNDS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY,i FOit THE Y3AR 1957 AND APPROPRIATING THE PUDLIC REVENUE AND INCOME OF TILE CITY OF PADUCAH! FO? SUCII PURPOSES", be introduced and remain on file for public inspection for at least one (1) ;reek in the completed form in which it shall be put upon its final passage.
