At a Called bleeting of the Board of Commissioners held in the Commission
Chamber of the City Hall, Paducah, Kentucky, at 9:30 o'clock A.M. on April 20, 1957,
Mayor Jacobs presided and upon call of the Roll the followilif answered to their names:
Commissioners Clark, Lally, McBride, Trevathan and Mayor Jacobs (5).
Commissioner Trevathan offered motion that the executed copies of the Notice
of Called Meeting to be held at 9:30 A.M. on April 20, 1957, be received and filed.
Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Clark, Lally, Mx Bride, Trevathan and
Mayor Jacobs (5).
Commissioner Clark offered motion that the report of the police department on
improper parking and drunk under the wheel for the period ending April 15, 1957, be
received and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Clark, Lally,
McBride, Trevathan and Mayor Jacobs (5)•
Commissioner Clark offered the following motion: I move that the SETTLEMENT:
CITY REFUSE ACCOUNTS - Mgrch 31, 1957, prepared and submitted by the Paducah !Vater [fork
be received and filed. I further move that the check in the amount of :)9,125.10 be
turned over to the City Treasury to be deposited in the General Fund. Adopted on ca

Commissioner Lally offered the following motion: WHEREAS, Ray I•IcClure, ^
of Paducah, Kentujky, has made application for permit as private collector for collecti
transporting and disposing of refuse as provided in Article VI, Section 4-A of the
Refuse Collection and Disposal Ordinance, such collection to be made from the following
places: A & P Store, Kroger Store at 9th & Broadway and BroadvielI Coffee Shop at 17th
and Broadway;
I therefore move that such permit be granted to him for a period of six months
from this date upon payment in advance of the sum of .A2.00 for said six-month period
at the rate of .42.00 per month. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners
Clark, Lally, McBride, Trevathan and Mayor Jacobs (5).
Commissioner McBride offered motion that the check in the amount of .;1.00 for
dead refuse accounts collected during the month of March 1957 be turned over the City
treasury to be deposited in the General Fund. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas,

Commissioner Lally offered the following notion: I move that an ordinance
entitled: "API ORDI;IANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF EidULSIFIED ASPHALT COi•PANY FOR THE SALE
TO Eiie, CITY OF TYPE RS, 1-:3 Aa!D SS EMULSIFIED ASPHALT RE UIRED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH
DURING THE YEAR 1957, AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER IPlTO AND EXECUTE A
CONTRACT FOR THE PURCHASE OF SAID MATERIAL, AND PRESCRIBING THE TERI•15 AND CONDIT100S

Commissioner MacBride offered motion that an ordinance entitled: "Ai! ORDINAN
ACCEPTING THE BID OF KIIlG-WOODALL MOTOR SALES FOR THE SALE TO THE CITY aF PADUCAH,
KENTUCKY OF ONE STATION WAGON, AND AUTHORIZING THE; CITY MANAGER TO CONTRACT TO
PURCHASE SAME", be adopted. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners
Clark, Lally, i•IcBrido, Trevathan and Mayor Jacobs (5).
Commissioner McBride offered motion that an ordinance entitled: "AN ORDI
ACCEPTING THE BID OF REED CRUSHED STONE COMPANY, INC. FOR SALE TO THE CITY OF PADUCAH
OF W9 AND #11 LIMESTONE, KENTUCKY STATE HIGHWAY SPECIFICATIONS, FOR USE BY THE CITY
DURING 1957, AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY TANAGER TO ENTER INTO AND EXECUTE A CONTRACT
FOR THE PURCHASE OF SAME, AND PRESCRIBING THE TERMIS AND CONDITIONS UNDER WHICH SAID
PURCHASES SHALL BE MADE", be adopted. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas,
Commissioners Clark, Lally, McBride, Trevathan and Mayor Jacobs (5).
Commissioner Trevathan offered motion that an ordinance entitled: "A!I
ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CONSTRUCTION OF All EIGHT INCH VITRIFIED CLAY SANITARY S81.1ER
ON A CERTAIN PORTION OF SECOND STREET BETWEEN ADAMS STREET AND JACKSON STREET;
DECLARIMIG SAID TO BE A NECESSITY AND DECLARING Ail EbIERGEUCY", be introduced and
remain on file for public inspection for at least one (1) week, in the completed
form in which it shall be put upon its final passage. Adopted on call of the Roll
Yeas, Commissioners Clark, Lally, McBride, Trevathan and Mayor Jacobs (5).
On motion the meeting adjourned.
