At a Called Meeting of the Board of Commissioners held in the Commission Chamber
City Hall, Paducah, Krntucicy, at 7:30 P.M. on February 2, 1957, Mayor Pro Tem Trevathan
presided in the absence of Mayor Jacobs, and upon call of the Roll the following answere
to their names: Commissioners Clark, Lally, McBride and Mayor Pro 'em Trevathan (4).
Notice of ✓F Commissioner McBride offered motion that the executed copies of the notice of a

Called Meeting to be held at 7:30 P.M. on Saturday, February 2, 1957, be received and
filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Clark, Lily, McBride and
Mayor Pro Tern Trevathan (4).

publishing ,
ordinances the cost of publishing the four ordinances now pending before this Board, be received
and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Clark, Lally, McBride,
and Mayor Pro Tem Trevathan (4).
File various i Commissioner Lally offered the following motion: I move that the letter, dated

Sears,Roebuck'i January 28, 1957, addressed to the Mayor and Board of Commissioners of the City of Paducah,
Kentucky, by Sears, Roebuck and Co, and Emory Williams by their attorney, John K. 1
I-?acDonald, Jr., be received and filed, together with the enclosures delivered therewith
which consist of the following:
1. A deed of dedication from Emory Williams and wife, Janet A. Williams, to
the City of Paducah, made for the purpose of dedicating a new public alley
and confirming the property lines of Broadway, 16th Street and Kentucky
Avenue to the limits shorn on the plat of the Sears project area approved
by the Planning and Zoning Commission on January 23, 1957.
2.A letter, dated January 25, 1957, signed for Sears, Roebuck and Co. by
its Attorney, which commits Sears to improve the new public alley referred
to above with a concrete surface and a storm crater drainage system according
to plans and specifications which have been approved by Mr. T. A. Bradley,
City Engineer, and which are noir on file in his office.
3. A covenant from Emory Williams and wife, Janet A. Williams, restricting
the use of that portion of Sears project area east of the new public alley
referred to above according to requirements of the Planning and Zoning
Commission.
4. A deed from Emory Williams and wife to the City of Paducah granting to the
City an easement with respect to the 18 inch storm sewer located in the present
right of way of South 15th Street.
5. A letter from the Illinois Central Railroad Company, dated January 18, 1957,
signed by its Vice=President, C. H. Mottier, and addressed to you, which ex-
presses the consent of said railroad to the closure of South 15th Street.
6. A contract between the Southern Bell Telephone and Telegraph Company and
Emory Williams and Sears, Roebuck and Co. which expresses the consent of the
telephone company to closure of South 15th Street in consideration of the
reservation of an easement for the benefit of the telephone company.
7. A check payable to the McCracken County Court Clerk in the amount of ;)19.00
drain by Sears, Roebuck and Co. to pay the cost of recording the three deeds
referred to above and two plats which are now held by the City Clerk to be
recorded after proceedings are completed to close South 15th Street.
