j At a Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners held in the Commission
Chamber of the City Hall, Paducah, Kentucky, at 7:30 P.M.. on March 30, 1954, Mayor
Charry presided and upon call of the Roll the following answered to their names:
Commissioners Hannin, Hughes, Jacobs, Riggs and Mayor Cherry (5).

hMayor Cherry offered motion that the reading of the Minutes for March 23, 1954

be waived and that the Minutes of said meeting as prepared by the City Clerk be
approved as written. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Hannin, Hughe
Jacobs, Riggs and Mayor Cherry (5).
Petition - Commissioner Hannin offered motion that the petition signed gravel alley �', P by Eric Bengson
Koerner & and others requesting that the alley between Koerner and Lieberman Streets and Barker
Lieberman
and Sowell Streets be gravelled, be received and referred to the City Manager for
investigation. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Hannin, Hughes,
Jacobs, Riggs and Mayor Cherry (5).
Contract, Commissioner Hannin offered motion that the Contract, Lease and Option entered

Budget Board Commissioner Hughes offered motion that the Budget of the Board of Education

Bad Refuse / Commissioner Jacobs offered motion that the check in the amount of 4.80 from
Accounts
Collected 1.the Paducah Water Works which represents bad refuse accounts collected during February
Feb. 1954
1' 1954 be turned over to the City Treasurer to be deposted 'to the General Fund. Adopted 1

Gasoline bide,-/ Commissioner Hughes offered motion that the following bids for the sale to
the City of Paducah of its requirements of gasoline, etc. for the period from April 1,
Ill 1954 thru December 31, 1954, be received and filed:

Commissioner Riggs offered motion that an ordinance entitled: "AN ORDINANCE
FIXING THE LEVIES AND RATES OF TAXATION ON ALL PROPERTY IN THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY,
SUBJECT TO TAXATION FOR MUNICIPAL PURPOSES AND FOR SCHOOL PURPOSES FOR THE YEAR 1954,
AND THE RATE OF POLL TAX, WITH THE PURPOSES OF SAID TAXES THEREUNDER DEFINED", be
adopted. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Hannin, Hughes, Jacobs,
Riggs and Mayor Cherry (5).
Settle Clad / Commissioner Hughes offered motion that the claim of Lois Paul Carlin and wife,

Carlin Alma Carlin, in the sum of x.700.00 for damages done to their automobile and to the
(lire truck)'
person of Mrs. Alma Carlin by a fire truck of the City of Paducah at 21st and Ohio Street
in Paducah, Kentucky, on :-arch 29, 1954, be allowed; and the City Treasurer be, and he
is hereby, authorized to issue a check of the City of Paducah in the sum of :'700.00 to
the order of Lois Paul Carlin and Alma Carlin after securing a full and complete
release. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Hannin, Hughes, Jacobs,
Riggs and Mayor Cherry (5).
On motion the meeting adjourned.
