At a Regular M=eeting of the Board of Commissioners held in the Commission Chambe
of the City Hall, Paducah, Kentucky, at 7:30 P.1•1. on June 12, 1956, 1,ayor Jacobs
presided and upon call of the Roll the following answered to their names: Commissioner
Clark, 1•1cBride, Trevathan and Mayor Jacobs (4).
Mayor Jacobs offered motion that tile reading of the Minutes. for M•iay 22 and
!Jay 20, 1956 be waived and that the Minutes of said meeting as prepared by the City
Clerk be approved as written. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners
Clark, McBride, Trevathan and Mayor Jacobs (4).
Commissioner Clark offered motion that the petition of Hurley Davies, for per-
mission to make one 3/4 inch connection to the privately owned water pipe line of the
husbands Road Community Water Company for the purpose of furnishing water to one
residence only upon a lot owned by petitioner fronting 150 feet on Sc,uth side of Dixie
Avenue in McCracken County, Kentucky, be received and filed and that the request
petitioned for therein be granted subject to the terms and conditions in said petition.

Jacobs (4).
Commissioner Trevathan offered motion that the petition of Roger F. Christie
and wife, Opal N. Christie, for permission to make one 3/4" connection to the 21'
privately owned water pipe line owned by Lorem M. Jones so as to furnish coater to one
residence only to be constructed upon lots #2$ and 29 in Block #2 of Thurman Minerva
Addition to the City of Paducah, Kentucky, fronting 100.02 feet on the west side of
South 42nd Street (Cardinal Lane) in McCracken County, Kentucky, and outside the
Corporate Limits of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, be received and filed and that the
request petitioned for therein be granted subject to the terms and conditions in
said petition. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Clark, McBride,.
Trevathan and h:ayor Jacobs (4).
Commissioner Clark offered motion as follows: I move that the letter from Dr.
Ralph W. Osborne, Superintendent of Paducah Public Schools, dated June 12, 1956 to the
Mayor and Board of Commissioners rhquesting that fees for building and electric permits
for the construction of the stad=ium at the Paducah Tilghman High School Site, be
received and filed, and further move that fees for same be waived by the Building s
Electrical Inspector. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Coaunissioilers Clark,
LcBride, Trevathan and M•;ayor Jacobs (4).
Coraissioner Clark offered the following motion: I Move that Jimmie Lee 'Watson
he and he i.s hereby employed as a laborer in the Refuse Division of the Public Works
Department of the City of Paducah at an hourly rate of "11.17" per hour for the firc,t
