City of Paducah liap 15, 1956 __
At a Called Fleeting of the Board of Commissioners held in the Commission
Chamber of the City Hall, Paducah, Kentucky, at 12:30 P.M. on Tfay 15, 1956, Mayor
Jacobs presided and upon call of the Roll the following answered to their names:
Commissioners Clark, Gangnath, McBride, Trevathan and Mayor Jacobs (5).
Commissioner McBride offered motion that the copies of the notice of
Called Meeting to be held at -12:30 P.M. CDST on May 15, 1956, be received and filed.
Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Clark, Gangnath, McBride, Trevathan
and Mayor Jacobs (5).
Commissioner Clark offered motion that the Board of Commissioners receive,
file and approve bond of Elvin L. Cooper d/b/a Cooper Plumbing Company in the sum of
x1000.00 dated May 12, 1956. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners
Clark, /Gangnath, McBride, Trevathan and Mayor Jacobs (5). -
Commissioner Trevathan offered the following motion: I move that the
letter from John A. Eastwood, d/b/a Eastwood Plumbing & Heating Company, dated May
11, 1956, requesting permission to make an assignment of certain moneys to be due him
under Sections 2 and 3 of Contract No. 2, Sanitary Sewers of the Sanitary Sewerage
improvement Program, be received and filed, and I further move that the City Manager
be, and he is hereby, authorized to approve and accept such assignment on behalf of
the City of Paducah. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Clark,
Gangnath, McBride, Trevathan and Mayor Jacobs (5).
Commissioner McBride offered motion that the weekly report of the police
department showing no arrests on improper parking for the period from Flay 8th through
Fay 14, 1956, be received and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commission?
ers, Clark, Gangnath, McBride, Trevathan and Mayor Jacobs (5).
Commissioner Gangnath offered motion that an ordinance entitled: "AN
GRDINANCE APPROVING THE FINAL REPORT OF THE PADUCAH PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION
RESPECTING THE REZONING OF PROPERTY LYING BETIIEE14 BROADWAY AND KENTUCKY AVENUE EAST
GF SIXTEENTH STREET AND AMENDING THE PADUCAH ZONING ORDINANCE 30 AS TO EFFECT SUCH
REZONING", be adopted. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Clark,
Gangnath, Trevathan and Mayor Jacobs (I;) Commissioner McBride "Passed" on advise
of the Corporation Counsel due to the fact that he was the owner of a lot in the
area to be rezoned.
