Mayor Jacobs offered motion that the reading of the Minutes for April 24th and I•lay 1, 1956 be waived and that the Minutes of said meeting as prepared by the City Clerk be approved as written. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Clark, Gangnat McBride, Trevathan and Mayor Jacobs (5)• Commissioner McBride offered motion that the Board of Commissioners receive and file the petition signed by property owners on "B" Street, licit Street and Wheeler Street requesting the City to open an alley beginning at Wheeler Street between vBn and licit Streets and running east and west. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Clark, Gangnath, McBride, Trevathan and Mayor Jacobs (5). Commissioner McBride offered motion that the letter signed by Mr. & Airs. W. W. Lawson and others, requesting the opening of an alley running between Koerner and Leiberman Streets and between Bridge and Parker Streets be received. He further moved that the City Manager be directed to make an investigation of this matter and report back to this board. Adopted on callof the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Clark, Gangnath, McBride, Trevathan and Mayor Jacobs (5). Commissioner Clark offered motion that Eastwood Plumbing & Heating Company be, and it is hereby, notified to commence work upon Contract No. 2, Sections Nos 2 and 3 of the Sanitary Sewerage Improvement Program with -in ten (10) days .from this date, and that the City Clerk immediately forward to said Eastwood Plumbing & Heating Company a certified copy of this motion. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Clark, Gangnath, McBride, Trevathan and Mayor Jacobs (5). Commissioner Clark offered motion that the letter from the Paducah Transit Corporation regarding change in the Noble Park Route, be received and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Clark, Gangnath, McBride, Trevathan and .'Mayor Jacobs (5). Commissioner Clark offered motion that the weekly report of the police depart -1 n_ent on improper parking, be received and filed. Commissioner Gangnath offered motion that the City I•;anager be directed to purcr33e an air conditioner for the City Judgels office. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Clark, Gangnath, McBride, Trevathan and Mayor Jacobs (5). Liability Commissioner Gangnath offered motion that the Board of Commissioners receive, policy Coope_ V file and approve liability policy issued by the National Union Indemnity Company to the Fib. Co. City of Paducah covering work done by Cooper Plumbing Company £or,a period of one year from ;•larch 27, 1956. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Clark, Gangnath, I•IeBride, Trevathan and Mayor Jacobs (5). Report of ✓/ Commissioner i•IcBride offered motion that the report of the Police Department Police Dept April 1956 for the month of April, 1956, be received and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Clark, Gangnath, McBride, Trevathan and Mayor Jacobs (5). Comae Commissioner McBride offered motion that Carmac Construction Compsny be, and Const. Co :fork Order it is hereby, notified to commence work upon Contract No. 2, Section No. 1 of the Sanitary Sorrcrage Sanitary Sewerage Improvement Program within ten (10) days from this date, and that Improvement Program the City Clerk immediately forward to said Carmac Construction Company a certified copy of this motion. Letter Commissioner Trevathan offered motion that the letter from Eastwood Plumbing & Eastwood Fib Cc Heating Company datedi•iay 2, 1956, requesting a work order for Contract No. 2, Sections Work Order Nos. 2 and 3 of the Sanitary Sewerage Improvement Program, be received and filed. Sell grave Commissioner Trevathan offered motion that the Board of Commissioners an Rush; - Addition the sale by the City of Paducah to Lexie B. Mayes of the East one-half of Lot 16 in I Lexie B. 1 -:ayes Block 7 of the Rushing Addition to Oak Grove Cemetery, and that the City Clerk be authorized to execute a deed of conveyance to said cemetery grave. Commissioner McBride offered motion that the claim of H & 1.1 Motors against City in the sum of 049.10 for damages to a garage door caused by a city refuse truck on or about October 27, 1955, be allowed and that the City Treasurer be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to issue a check of the City to II & 1.1 Motors for such amount after obtaining a full and complete release.
