P,oceedings of Board of Commissioners City of Paducah October 11, 1955
At a Regular Meeting of the 'Board of Commissioners held in the Commission
Chamber of the City Hall, Paducah, Kentucky, at 7:30 P.M, on October 11, 1955, Mayor
Cherry presided and upon call of the Roll the following answered to their names:
Commissioners Hannin, Hughes, Jacobs, Riggs and Mayor Cherry (5)
Minutes of the previous meeting were approved as written.
Bd of Equal- ✓ Mayor Cherry offered the following motion:

WHEREAS, on October 4, 1955, John L. Williams, R. E. Vennum and Grady White
were appointed to serve as members of the Board of Equalization of the City of Paducal
for the year 1955, and
WHEREAS, since said time John L. Williams has notified the board he will
be unable to serve as such a member,
I now therefore move that Jess Thurman, R. E. Vennum and Grady White be
appointed to serve as members of the Board of Equalization of the City of Paducah
for the year 1955, that the members of said board, after being first duly sworn to

faithfully discharge the duties of their office, be directed to meet at the City Hall
on the lith day of October, 1955, to elect from among themselves a Chairman and a
Clerk, to notify the City Auditor that they are ready to receive the assessment books
and to then proceed with the equalization of assessments on all real and personal
property within the city subject to taxation in accordance with the provisions of law
the members of said board to receive for their services the amount fixed by ordinance

Hughes, Jacobs, Riggs and Mayor Cherry (5).
Prohibit Commissioner Jacobs offered motion that an ordinance entitled: "AN ORDINANCE
