At a Called Neeting of the Board of Commissioners held in the Commission
Chamber of the City Hall, Paducah, Kentucky, at 2:00 P.M. on July 29, 1955, Mayor
Cherry presided and upon call of the Roll the following answered to their names:
Commissioners Fannin, Hughes, Jacobs, Riggs and Mayor Cherry (5).
i.eeting was called for the purpose of rejecting all bids which were opened
on July 15 for Contract No. 2, Sanitary Sewers, and to readvertise for bids.
1•ayor Cherry offered the £ollorring motion: I move that the letter from
Black & Veatch, Consulting Engineers, dated July 22, 1955 relative to the bids opened
on July 15, 1955 for Contract No. 2, Sanitary Sewers, be received and filed.
I further move that bids submitted by Eastwood Plumbing and Ileating, Paducah,
Rentucky; W. & R. Construction Co., Inc. Dupe, Illinois; Joseph P. Keeley Construction
Company, Inc. East St. Louis, Illinois; R. & M. Construction Company, St. Louis,
Kissouri and Carmac Construction Company, Paducah, Kentucky, be, and all of said bids
are hereby, rejected. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Fannin,
Hughes, Jacobs, Riggs and 1-ayor Cherry (5).
Commissioner Hughes offered the following motion: I move that a Resolution
entitled: oA RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR THE
CONSTRUCTION OF THREE SECTIONS OF SANITARY SEVIERS, AIM PROVIDING THE Tm S AIdD
IWRIER III :'WHICH BIDS SHALL BE RECEIVEDfl, be adopted. Adopted on call of the Roll,
Yeas, Commissioners Hannin, Highes, Jacobs, Riggs and Mayor Cherry (5).
On motion the meeting adjourned.
