At a :te_ular i_eeting of the Board of Commissioners hold in the Commission Chambe
of the City Hall, Paducah, Kentucky at 7:30 P.Ai, on January 18, 1955, Mayor Cherry
presided and upon call of the Roll the follovrIng answered to their names: COMILiSsi One
Hannin, Hughes, Jacobs, Riggs and May r Cherry (5).
1ayor Cherry offered motion that the reading of the Minutes for January 11, 1955
be vraived and that the Minutes of said meeting as prepared by the City Clerk be
approved as written. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Hannin, Hughe
Jacobs, Riggs and Mayor Cherry (5).
:•ayor Cherry offered the follovri.ng motion: The term of office of Harold L.
Sullivan, as a member of the Paducah Municipal Hospital Commission having expired on
December 31, 19-54, 1 hereby move that Joe Mullens be appointed as a member of said
commission for a term of three (3) years, so that said board as now constituted shall
be composed of the following members:
. J. Fierce whose term expires December 31, 1955
Leslie Long whose term expires December 31, 1955
Airs. H. T. Rivers whose term expires December 31, 1956
Gus Smith whose term expires December 31 1956
Louis Tick v$iose term expires December 31, 1956
Chas. Hatfield whose term expires December 31 1957
Joe Mullens whose term expires December 31, 1y57

Commissioner Hannin offered the folloidng motion: I move that the City Manager
have an investigation made to determine the need for a street light at the corner of
Fulton and Blow. I further move that if it is found that said light is ndeded, that
he instruct the Kentucky Utilities Company to make such installation. Adopted on call
of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Hannin, Hughes, Jacobs, Riggs and Mayor Cherry (5).
Commissioner Hannin offered motion that the check in the amount of :t8.80 from
the Paducah dater :forks which represents bad refuse accounts collected du:bing
December 1954 be turned over to the City Treasurer to be deposited to the General
Fund. Adopted on call of the Roll Yeas, Commissioners Hannin, Hughes, Jacobs, Rigs
and :ayor Cherry (5).
