At a Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners held in the Commission
Chamber of the City Hall, Paducah, Kentucky, at 7:30 P.PI. on November 23, 1954, Mayor

Cherry presided and upon call of the Roll the following answered to their names:
Commissioners Hannin, Hughes, Jacobs, Riggs and Mayor Cherry (5).
Mayor Cherry offered motion that the reading of the Minites for November 16, 1954

be waived and that the Minutes of said meeting as prepared by the City Clerk be approved
as written. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Hannin, Hughes, Jacobs,
eggs and Mayor Cherry (5).
Petitions /
Mayor Cherry offered motion that the various petitions and letters requesting
one-way Sts
that one-way traffic on Broadwiay and Jefferson Streets be restored immediately, be

Bids on Leader
Commissioner Hannin offered motion that the followring bid on 4-wheol loader be

Commissioner Hannin offered motion that the Board of Commissioners approve the

sale by the City of Paducah to Mary Browm of Grave No. 53 in Block No. 8 of the Rushing j
Addition to Oak Grove Cemetery, and that the City Clerk be authorized to execute a deed
of conveyance to said cemetery grave. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Comm-

October 31, 1954, prepared and submitted by the Paducah Water Works be received and
filed. He further moved that the check in the amount of .$11,490.53 be turned over to
the City Treasurer to be deposited in the General Fund. Adopted on call of the Roll,
Yeas, Commissioners Hannin, Hughes, Jacobs, Riggs and Mayor Cherry (5).

Certified Public Accountant, of a contract with the City of Paducah for auditing the
city's financial records for the calendar year 1954, be received and filed. Adopted
on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Hannin, Hughes, Jacobs, Riggs and Mayor
Cherry (5).
Park Board
Commissioner Jacobs offered motion that the letter from the Paducah Park Board

I now move that the City Treasurer be, and he is hereby, directed to return

Boa Commissioner Jacobs offered motion that the Board of Commissioners receive

November 17, 1954, in which said Commission relinquishes its claim to $5,000 of the
uncollected appropriation to said Commission for the year 1954. Adopted on call

Leppert Bus J Commissioner Jacobs offered motion that the letter from Leppert Bus Lines, Inc.

Proposal of Columbus, Ind. and its proposal to operate buses in the City of Paducah, Kentucky,

Slum Clear- Commissioner Riggs offered motion that this Board receive and file the copy

sion of Slum Clearance & Urban Redevelopment of the Housing and Home Finance Agency,
and that we authorize the City Tanager to proceed in accordance with the recommendation
set forth in said motion. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Hannin,
