i; i•iayor Cherry offered motion that the reading of the Minutes for November 3,
1953 be waived and that the Minutes of said meeting as prepared by the City Cleric be
approved as smitten. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Clark, Jacobs,
j Johnston and I•iayor Cherry (4) .
Petition Open Commissioner Johnston offered the following motion: I move that the petition
26th St Ohio &
Jones & Street signed by W. E. Lampley and others requesting the opening of 26th Street between Ohio and,
light 26th ,
Tennessee Jones Streets and the installation of a street light at the intersection of 26th and
Tennessee Streets, be received and filed.
I further move that the request concerning the opening of 26th Street be
referred to the City Manager for investigation and report. adopted on call of the Boll,
Yeas, Commissioners Clark, Jacobs, Johnston and Mayor Cherry (4).
Petition Parking Mayor Cherry offered motion that the petition signed by Tom•Rogers, et al
space in front
of Floodwall requesting that the City of Paducah rent a space for parking of automobiles to B. E.
Lovett immediately in front of the floodwall running from Broadway to Kentucky Avenue
about ¢0 feet in depth, be received and filed and referred to the City Engineer for an
estimate of cost necessary for preparing said space. Adopted on call of the Roll,

Compromise suit]
Patsy Cain Commissioner Clark offered motion that the offer of Patsy Cain to compromise

her pending suitin the I•IcCracken Circuit Court against the City of Paducah, Kentucky, for
the sum of x900.00 be accepted, and that the City Treasurer be, and he is hereby,
authorized to issue a check of the City of Paducah in said amount payable to Patsy Cain
and Davis R. Reed, Attorney, after securing a full and complete release of the suit and
claim. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Clark, Jacobs, Johnston and
mayor Cherry (y).

Clearance
Bills amount of ;723.89 and a copy of the motion containing a recommendation of approval
4 adopted by the Paducah Planning and Zoning Commission on Hovember 12, 1953, be received
and forwarded to thr City Treasurer.
In view of such recommendation, I move that the City Treasurer be authorized
4� to pay the bills, for that purpose using funds advanced by the Housing and Home
Finance Agency for the slum Clearance and Urban Redevelopment Program. Adopted on
