At a Regular Keeting of the board of Commissioners hold in the Commission
Chamber at the City Hall, Paducah, Kentucky, at 7:30 P.M. on January 17, 1950, Mayor
Johnston presided and upon call of the Roll the following answered to their names:
Commissioners Bannin, Jacobs, Sims, 'Thomas and Mayor Johnston (5).
I,:inutos of the previous meeting were adopted as read.
Commissioner Sims offered motion that the petition of Idrs. Albert Tiarshall and
others, residents of the Utterback addition, requesting that the board of Commissioners
take the appropriate action to require the Paducah Bus Company to operate buses over th
Guthrie Avenue Route to the corner of Markham Avenue and the Schneidman Road be receive,
and filed and that the City Manager be authorized to notify the Paducah Bus Company to
extend its service by operating buses on the Guthrie Avenue Route as far out as I.:arkham
Avenue and the Schneidman Road as provided under Paragraph D of the Fifth Supplemental
Contract entered into between the City of Paducah and the Paducah Bus Company on May
14th, 1949. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Fannin, Jacobs, Sims,

St. Lights Commissioner Fannin offered motion that the Chief of Police be requested to

Street and LaClede.
He further moved that if investigation discloses a need for lights at these
tnvo intersections that the City ;:Tanager be directed to request their installation.

Omitted Taxesj Commissioner Thomas offered motion that the Board of Commissioners receive and file
Oxwell Railroad .
Cervice Co. V the letter of H. ',:arren Middleton, the Omitted Tax Attorney for the City of Paducah,

settlement recommending that the city accept from The Oxwell Railroad Service Company omitted taxes;
for the years 1940 through 1944 based upon a valuation of $9000.00 for each of said
years, that said Attorney's recommendation be approved and that the controversy now

existing between the City of Paducah and The Oxviell Railroad Service Company be settled
by a judgment of court fixing the valuation of said Company's properties for taxation
purposes at ..9000.00 for each of the years 1940 through 1944, and that said Attorney be
authorized to permit said judgment to be entered upon the condition that that Company JI
pay to the City of Paducah the sum of }'XOO.63 in settlement of the taxes owing by it fO
