At a Rez:lar .eetin,; of the hoard of Commissioners held in the Commission Chamber of
the City Ball, Paducah, Kentucky, at 7:30 P•'.i. on I•iarch 31, 1953, I-iayor Cherry presided
and upon call of the Roll the following answered to their names: Commissioners Clark,
Jacobs, Johnston, idorrow and I•Iayor Cherry (5).
-ayor Cherry offered motion that the reading of the b:inutes for I- .arch a.4, 1953
bw waived and that the I-Iinutes of said meeting as prepared by the City Clerk be approved
as asitten. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Clark, Jacobs, Johnston,
orrow and I•Iayor Cherry (5) .
''Jater line Commissioner Johnston offered motion that the petition of James D. Flanary and
P.usbands it
wife, Verna Planary, for permission to make one 3/4 inch connection to the privately
o=ed water pipe line of the Husbands Road Community Water Company for the purpose of
furnishing mater to one residence only upon a lot owned by petitioners fronting 50 feet n
South side of Dixie Avenue in i-IcCracken County, Kentucky, and outside the corporate limis
of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, be received and filed and that the request petitioned or
therein be granted subject to the terms and conditions in said petition. Adopted on ca.'1
of the Holl, Yeas, Commissioners Clark, Jacobs, Johnston, i•Iorrow and B:ayor Cherry (5).
Street Commissioner Johnston offered motion that the petition signed by Mrs. Ben
Lights
'-onroe Pierson and others requesting street lights at 29th and Idonroe and halfway between 28th
29 and
bet 28 L: 2 and 29th on i•ionroe street be received and filed.
He further moved that if upon investigation it is determined that street lights
are needed, that the City i•Ianager authorize the Kentucky Utilities Company to install
lights at the above locations. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners
Clark, Jacobs, Johnston, :•.orrow and 1,ayor Cherry (5).

fie further moved that an appeal to the Kentucky Court of Appeals and the furnishing of
a superuedeas bond be authorized. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Corinissioners
Clark, Jacobs, Johnston, Norrov and Mayor Cherry (5).
Street Lights Commissioner Aorrow offered motion -chat the report of Hal Cole, Director of
Project Traffic, recarding, the installation of street lights in the Forest Hills Project be
received and filed.
He further moved that the City 14anager be directed to in3truct the Kentucky
Utilities Company to install a total of 35 street lights within this project, said
lichts to be located as shown on the map attached hereto. Adopted on call of the
Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Clark, Jacobs, Johnston, M.orrow and 1-Tayor Cherry (5).
