Commissioner Jacobs being p absent whon the meeting was called to order. tl I•iayor Cherry offered motion that the reading of the Dlinutes for Jan 27th and k 30th and February 3rd, 1953 be waived and that the Minutes of said meetings as prepared the City Clerk be approved as written. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioner Clark, Johnston, _:orrow and Mayor Cherry (¢). t/ / Commissioner Clark offered motion that the petition signed by Mr. & Mrs. ililli+ ✓ Huff and others requesting street lights on Madison Street at 22nd, 23rd and 24th street; be received and filed. He further moved that if upon investigation it is determined that street light; are needed, that the City.I•lanager authorize the Kentucky Utilities Company to install lights at the above locations. Adapted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Clark, Johnston, ldorrow and Mayor Cherry (4). / Commissioner Clark offered m6tion that the petition of Charles Wesley Hausser and his wife, Delores Jean Hausser, for permission to make one 3/4 inch connection to the 2 inch privately ovmed water pipe line ovmed by Hud Smith (said 2 inch line being connected to the Woodlawm-Oakdale Community hater Company line on Oaks Road) so as to furnish water to one -residence to be constructed upon Lot No. l4 in the Smith Sun-divilsic owmed by petitioners and fronting 50 feet on the wrest side of Smith Avenue, in McCracken County, Kentucky, and outside the corporate limits of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, be received and filed and that the request petitioned for therein be granted subject to the terms and conditions in said petition. Jones so as to furnish water to one residence to be constructed upon Lot 6 and part of Lot 5 in Block aC" in Gregory Heights addition to the City of Paducah fronting 96 feet on the east side of North 42nd street in I•:cCracken County 'Kentucky, and outside the corporate limits of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, be received and filed and that the request in said petition be granted in accordance with the terms and conditions in said petition. Proceedings of- Board of Commissioners _ City of Paducah February 10, 1953 Liability ✓ Commissioner Jacobs offered motion that the Board of Commissioners receive, file Policy R.C.Jennin s and approve Certificate of Insurance issued by the Connecticut Indemnity Company protecting the City of Paducah with respect to work done by R. C. Jennings for a period of one year from January 19, 1953. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Clark, Jacobs, Johnston, Morrow and Mayor Cherry (5). Rushing Ad� Commissioner Jacobs offered motion that the Board of Commissioners approve the Cemetery Grave t sale by the City of Paducah to E. T. Settle ✓ Commissioner Johnston offered motion that the City of Paducah pay to Vera Watts Claim Vera iatts and her husband, Robert L. Watts, the sum of x75.00 in full settlement of their claim for damages arising out of an accident which occurred on November 10th, 1952, when the said Vera Watts fell on the street at the northeast corner of the intersection of Second Street and Kentucky Avenue in Paducah, Kentucky; and that the City Treasurer be authorized to deliver to the said Vera Watta or to her attorney, Dir. W. A. Middleton a t check. for 475.00 payable to the said Vera watts, Robert L. 19atts, her husband, w. A. Middleton, their attorney, and Dr. R. L. Reeves, in exchange for a full release on �. account of injuries the said Vera watts received in said accident.
