Proceedings of board of Commissioners City of Paducah.- May 3, 1950
At an adjourned. regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners held in the
Commission Chamber at the City Hall, Paducah, Kentucky, at 7:W P.M. on May 3, 1950 ,
Mayor Johnston presided and upon call of the Roll the following answered to their names:
Commissioners Hannin, Jacobs, Sims and Mayor Johnston (4), Commissioner Thomas being
absent.
Auto Commissioner Hannin offered the following motion:
Dealers
pay WHEREAS, the automobile dealers of the City of Paducah requested in December 1949
license
without the amendment of the occupational license ordinance and in the discussion of the basis
pe nal ty
and on which they should pay, numerous meetings have been held and on January 1, 1950 and
interest
thereafter the Board of Commissioners had under consideration the amendment of said
ordinance to be effective during the year 1950; and
WHEREAS, by reason of the anticipated change in said license ordinance as it
applies to automobile dealers, few of them have paid their licenses for the year 1950
and it is not the result of any neglect or oversight on the part of said dealers that
said licenses were not paid within the period provided under the ordinance;
I therefore move that th=_ City Treasurer be authorized to accept from all auto-
mobile dealers who have not obtained their licenses the fees payable under the
license ordinance now in effect without requiring them to pay any penalties or interest
provided the license fees are paid within a period of tan days from this date.
Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Hannin, Jacobs, Sims and Mayor
Johnston (r).
On motion the meeting adjourned.
