Proceedings of Board of Cot)missioners City of Peduceh January 27, 1953 i vAt a Regular Pteeting of the Board of Commissioners held in the Commission Chamber of the City Hall, Paducah, Kentucky, at 7:30 P.11. on January 27, 1953, Idayor Cherry presided and upon call of the Roll the following answered to their names: Commissioners } Clark, Jacobs, Johnston, ,orror• and Mayor Cherry (5). ISayor Cherry offered motion that the reading of the Minutes for January 20, 1953 be waived and that the Kinutes of said meeting as prepared by the City Clerk be approved as written. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Clark, Jacobs, Johnston, orrow and i•ayor Cherry (5) . Gas Pain Commissioner Clark offered motion that a Resolution entitled: oA RESOLUTION Grass Plot AUTHORIZING THE CITY ENGINEER TO GRANT TO THE WESTERN KENTUCKY GAS COMPANY A PERPIIT TO LAY A GAS I- AIH IPI THE WEST GRASS PLOT OF 15TH STREET, AND PRESCRIBING THE CONDITIOIIS UPON TMICH SAID PEW -IIT SHALL BE GRANTED11, be adopted. Street Light Commissioner Clark offered motion that the report from Gerald Stewart, Chief of Go;zDmnan & Burger Rds Police, regarding street lights along Goodman and Burger Roads and Lovelaceville Road fbe received and filed. He further moved that the City Manager authorize the Kentucky Utilities Company to install street lights at the following locations: 1. Lone Oak. Road and Goodman Road 2. Front of Apartment 128 Goodman Road 3. Second intersection of Goodman Road (off Lone Oak Road) 5. Front of Apartment 129 on Burger Road 5. N- ____537_ -.- -_ _.--- Proceedings _-- Pwce.dings of Board of Commissioners City of Paducah January 27, 1953 W.H.Tancy Bond /% Commissioner Johnston offered motion that this board receive and file the letter reduce amount of Henneberger Insurance Agency and the attached endorsement showing that the permit bond of W. H. Yincy Construction Company has been reduced from the amount Of '.}5,000 to r1,000. He further moved that the City Manager be authorized to sign said endorsement for and on behalf of the City of Paducah and that the duplicate thereof be returned to said Insurance Company. Settle ClaimCommissioner Morrow offered motion that the Board of Commissioners receive and !.;.,ti. Johnson damage to car !i file the memorandum from H. L. Gangnath to the City Manager dated January 19, 1953 with reference to the damage to the car of Martin Johnson, 2011 Broad Street which occurred on January 15, 1953 when a city truck backed into Mr. Johnson's car while same was parked in the parking lot behind No. I Fire Station. He further moved that the claim of Mr. Johnson in the amount of 027.90 be settled and that the City Trvasurer issue to him a check in that amount, provided that he accepts said amount in full payment and satisfaction of all claims for injury or damage Ii which he may have against the City of Paducah and that he execute a release making such statement.
