At a Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners held in the Commission
Chamber of the City Hall, Paducah, Kentucky, at 7:30 P.P•I. on October 7, 1952, Mayor
Cherry presided and upon call of the Roll the following answered to their names:
Commissioners Clark, Johnston, Morrow and Mayor Cherry (4), Commissioner Jacobs being
absent.

Water line V I' Commissioner Clark offered motion that the petition of G. B. Hearn and wife,
Minnich Ave
Ethel Hearn, residing on Minnich Avenue in b;cCracken County, outside the corporate limit
of Paducah, Kentucky, for authority to lay and construct a water line for the purpose of
providing water service to a residence building located on the property of petitioners,
be received and filed and that the request in said petition be granted in accordance
with the terms set forth therein.
It is understood, however, in granting the privileges sought in said petition
neither the City of Paducah nor the Commissioners of Plater Works shall be obligated to
buy said pipe line or any part thereof, and no such obligation shall be contained or be
implied hereafter should the territory to be served by the water line to be laid under
the authority herein requested be taken into or made a part of the City of Paducah.
It is further understood that the petitioners trill subscribe for water service
at the rates now or hereafter prescribed for water service to consumers outside the
city limits of Paducah and subject in all respects to the rules and regulations of the
City of Paducah or its Commissioners of 'dater Works which may be now in force of therein
after enacted.
Nothing in the granting of this petition shall obligate the City of Paducah or
its Commissioners of Water Works to guarantee pressure or service, and said hater servic

Reba Hollowell, for permission to connect a 3/4 inch water pipe line to the 14 inch
privately owned water pipe line of R. M. 'sell and to extend said line into the property
of the petitioners located on the West side of North 36th Street in McCracken County
Kentucky, and outside the corporate limits of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, be received
and filed, and that the request petitioned for therein be granted subject to the terms
and conditions contained in said petition.
It is understood, however, in granting the privileges sought in said petition
neither the City of Paducah nor the Commissioners of 'Tater 'forks shall be obligated to

Mayor Cherry offered motion that the petition of "l. B. Dause and wife, Evadean
Smith Ave.
Dause, for permission to make one 3/4 inch connection to the 2 inch privately owned

water pipe line owned by Hub Smith (said 2 inch line being connected to the S9oodlawn- i
Oakdale Community Water Company line on Oaks Road) so as to furnish water to one resi-
dence upon Lot 36 in Smith Subdivision fronting on Smith Avenue and owned by the peti-
tioners, said lot being in McCracken County, Kentucky, and outside the corporate limits
of the City of Paducah, be received and filed, and that the request petitioned for
therein be granted subject to the terms and conditions in said petition.

petitioner, being 2.53 acres on the south side of the Hinkleville Road approximately
one block ti:est of the city limits of the City of Paducah and fronting approximately 165.3
feet on the Hinkleville Road located in McCracken County, Kentucky, and outside of the
corporate limits of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, be received and filed, and that the
request petitioned for therein be granted subject to the terms and conditions inlaid
petition.
It is understood, however, in granting the privilege sought in said petition

Commissioners of Water Works, the furnishing of water to said petitioner, or his success-
or in ownership, interferes with the adequate service to consumers of water inside the
City of Paducah or to any consumers of water receiving water through the Conrad main
located on the Hinkleville Road, or interferes with the taps reserved by the M. H. Conrad
Building Company as set out in contract between Paducah Water Works and PI. H. Conrad
Building Company dated the 5th day of December, 1951. Adopted on call of the Roll,

construct a water line for the purpose of providing water service to a residence on said

granted in accordance with the terms set forth therein. Adopted on call of the

Commissioner Johnston offered the following motion: I move that the letter of

letter from Chester A. Lucas, Stein Bros & Boyce, dated September 8, 1952 regarding
repeal of a Resolution adopted by this Board on August 26, 1952 creating a Riverside
Hospital Account know as the Special Construction Account. Adopted on call of the

Commissioner I•Iorrow offered the following motion: I move that the letter of
refund to

Oscar Talmage recommending refund of Building Permit No. 1613 in the amount of g'28.00
to firs. Edla Dunbar be received and filed.
Since it appears that said building permit will not be used, I further move that the
amount of ','128.00 be refunded to the said Airs. Edla Dunbar. Adopted on call of the

ordered and directed to pay said sum to James A. Hamilton & Associates from money in thel
