Proceedings of. Board of Commissioners city of Paducah May 27 1952
At a Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners held in the Commission
Chamber of the City Hall, Paducah, Kentucky, at 7:30 P.M. on May 27, 1952, Mayor Cherry
presided and upon call of the Roll the following answered to their names: Commissioners
Clark, Jacobs, Johnston, Morrow and Mayor Cherry (5).
Minutes of the previous meetings were adopted as read.
Sewer Proj.J Commissioner Morrow offered motion that a Resolution entitled: "A RESOLUTION
No. 1
Resolution URGING THE HOUSING AND HOME FINANCE AGENCY'S APPROVAL OF SEWER APPLICATION NO. 1 FILED
BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH FOR A GRANT OF FUNDS IN THE SUM OF $1,327.781 FOR THE CONSTRUCTION
OF A BRANCH STORM SEVIER AND NOBLE PARK STORM RELIEF SEWER AND ADDITIONS THERETO, TOGETHEII
WITH PUMPING STATION ALTERATIONS", be adopted. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas,
Commissioners Clark, Jacobs, Johnston, Morrow and Mayor Cherry (5).
Water line Commissioner Clark offered motion that the petition of George W. Miller and
Homewood Ave'
wife, Marie Miller, residing on Homewood Avenue in McCracken County, outside the corpor-
ate limits of Paducah, Ky. for authority to lay and construct a water line for the purpo�e
of providing water service to the building located on the property of petitioners be
received and filed and that the request in said petition be granted in accordance with
the terms set forth therein.
It is understood, however, in granting the privilege sought in said petition
neither the City of Paducah nor the Commissioners of Water Works shall be obligated to
buy said pipe line or any part thereof, and no such obligation shall be contained or
be implied hereafter should the territory to be served by the water line to be laid
under the authority herein requested be taken into or made a part of the City of Paducah
It is further understood that the petitioners will subscribe for water service a
the rates now or hereafter prescribed for water service to consumers outside the city
limits of Paducah and subject in all respects to the rules and regulations of the City
of Paducah or its Commissioners of Water Works which may be now in force of thereinafter
enacted.
Nothing in the granting of this petition shall obligate the City of Paducah or
its Commissioners of Water Works to guarantee pressure or service, and said water servics
may ge discontinued through said pipe line at any time when in the judgment of its

pipe line to the 6 inch main of the Paducah dater Works at a point near the City Limits
on the Hinkleville Road and to extend said water pipe line as requested in their
petition to supply water to residences as set forth in said petition be received and
filed and the request in said petition be granted in accordance with the terms set
forth therein.
It is understood, however, that in granting the privileges sought in said petitilljn
neither the City of Paducah or the Commissioners of Water Works shall be obligated to
buy or maintain said pipe line to be constructed by petitioners, or any part thereof,
and no such obligation shall be obtained or be implied hereafter should the territory to
be served by the water lines to be laid under the authority herein requested be taken
into or made a part of the City of Paducah.
It is further understood that the petitioners will subscribe for water service
at the rates now or hereafter prescribed for water service to consumers outside the city
limits and subject in all respects to the rules and regulations of the City of Paducah or
its Commissioners of Water Works which may be now in force or hereinafter onacted.
