At a Regular 1•:eeting of the Board of Commissioners bald in the Commission
Charr:ber of the City Hall, Paducah, Kentucky, at 7:30 P.1.1. on May 13, 1952, Payor
Cherry presided and upon call of the Roll the following answered to their names:
Com.missicners Clark, Jacobs, Morrow and Mayor Cherry (4), Commi3sioner Johnston being
absent.
P:inutes of the previous meetings were adopted as read.
Commissioner Clerk pffered motion that the petition of Fred. Brown and others
requesting the closing of Owen Street be received and referred to the Planning and
Loring Commission for study and recommendation. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas,
Commissioners Clark, Jacobs, l4orrow and Mayor Cherry (4)•
Commissioner Clark offered motion that the petition signed by Sam If. Finkel
and others relative to parking on Kentucky Avenue between lst and 2nd streets be
.received and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Clark, Jacobs,

Commissioner t•:crrow offered motion that the petition of James A. Vesselsiand
wife, Frances A. Vessels, residing on the husbands Road in McCracken, County, outside th
corporate limits of Paducah, Kentucky, for authority to lay and construct a water line
for the purpose of providing :nater service to the building located on the property of p
titioners be received and filed and that the request in said petition be granted in
accordance with the terms set forth therein.
It is understood, however, in granting the privilege sought in said petition
neither the City of Paducah nor the Commissioners of Plater Works shall be obligated
to buy said pipe line or any part thereof, and no such obligation shall be contained
or be implied hereafter should the territory to be served by the water line to be laid
under the authority herein requested be taken into or made a part of the City of Paduca
It is further understood that the petitioners will subscribe for water service
at the rates now or hereafter prescribed for water service to consumers outside the
city limits of Paducah and subject in all respects to the rules and regulations of the

Blanchard, residing on Homewood Avenue in McCracken County, outside the corporate limits
of Paducah, Kentucky, for authority to lay and construct a water line for the purpose of
