At a Regular•Meeting of the Board of Commissioners held in the Commission /Chamb
of the City Hall, Paducah, Kentucky, at 7:30 P.M. on April 22, 1952, Mayor Cherry pre-
sided and upon call of the Roll the following answered to their names: Commissioners
Clark, Jacobs, Johnston, Morrow and Mayor Cherry (5)•
Minutes of the previous meetings were adopted as read.
Commissioner Clark offered motion that the pe tition of Obert Streit and wife,
Ola Grace Streit, residing on Homewood Avenue in McCracken County, outside the corporate
limits of Paducah, Kentucky, for authority to lay and construct a water line for the
purpose of providing water service to the building located on the property of petitioner
be received and filed and that the request in said petition be granted in accordance wit
the terms set forth therein.
It is understood, however, in granting the privilege sought in said petition
neither the City of Padueah nor the Commissioners of Water :'forks shall be obligated to
buy said pipe line or any part thereof, and no such obligation shall be contained or be
implied hereafter should the territory to be served by the water line to be laid under
the authority herein requested be taken into or made a part of the City of Paducah.
It is further understood that the petitioners will subscribe for water service
at the rates now or hereafter prescribed for water service to consumers outside the
city limits of Paducah and subject in all respects to the rules and regulations of the
city of Paducah or its Commissioners of Water Works which may be now in force or herein-
after enacted.
Nothing in the granting of this petition shall obligate the City of Paducah or
its Commissioners of Water Works to guarantee pressure or service, and said water servic
may be discontinued through said pipe line at any time when in the judgment of its
Commissioners of 'Water Works the furnishing of water to the petitioners or their
successors in ownership of the property owned may interfere in any wise with the
adequate supply and distribution of water inside the corporate limits of the City of

Commissioner Jacobs offered motion as follows: Roe Wilkins is the owner of
property located on Monroe Street between 19th street and 21st street, all of which
property is presently vacant and said owner desires that extension of the existing
water main be made so as to provide water service to the property above referred to.
It appears from the endorsement bT the Board of Commissioners of :water Works
that the applicant has c4plied with all rules and regulations of the said Paducah eater
Works r,!; apprcved by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Paducah. Itherefore move

Nimmo, residing at the corner of Husbands Road and Hovekamp Road, outside the corporate
limits of Paducah, Kentucky, for authority to lay and construct a water line for the
purpose of providing water service to the buildings to be located on the property of
petitioners be received and filed and that the request in said petition be granted in
accordance with the terms set forth therein.
It is understood, however, in granting the privilege sought in said petition
neither the City of Paducah nor the Commissioners of Water Works shall be obligated to
buy said pipe line or any part thereof, and no such obligation shall be contained or be
implied hereafter should the territory to be served by the water line to be laid under
the authority herein requested be taken into or made a part of the city of Paducah.

Commissioner Clark offered motion that the copy of the motion passed by the
Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of Paducah on April 18, 1952, recommending
the repeal of the Old Zoning Ordinance adopted on December 17, 1928 and all amendments
thereto, be received and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Coamissioners
,-Clark, Jacobs, Johnston, Morrow and Kayor Cherry (5).
Cormissioner Clark offered motion that this Board receive, file and approve
Surety Continuation Certificate issued by the American Employers' Insurance Company on
behalf of R. C. Jennings in the amount of $4,500.00 for a period of one year frog Kay

for the purposes stated in said request be granted, and He further moved that the
adoption of this resolution and the granting of the request be considered as an agree-
ment oh, the part of the City of Paducah to pay the water main rental, as provided in
the franchise on the water main referred to in said request and in this motion.
Said rental to begin when said water main has been laid and water provided for on the
streets above referred to. This permission is further conditioned that all of the
provisions of the ordinance relating to the opening of any street, alley or other
public way of the city are complied with. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas,
