At a Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners held in the Commission Chamber
of the City Hall, Paducah, Kentucky, at 7:30 P.M. on March 11, 1952, Mayor Cherry
presided and upon call of the Roll the following answered to their names: Commissioner
Clark, Jacobs, Johnston, Morrow and Mayor Cherry (5).
Minutes of the previous meeting were adopted as read.
Commissioner Clark offered motion that the petition of Jesse W. Brandon and wife,
Water Line
Ruby L. Brandon, per permission to make one 3/4 inch connection to the 2 inch water pipe

line owned by the Orchard Heights Water Company so as to furnish water to one residence
to be constructed upon property owned by petitioners on Lot 10, Orchard Heights Sub-

division, outside the city limits of Paducah, Kentucky be received and filed with the
request petitioned for therein be granted subject to the terms and conditions in said
petition.
It is understood, however, that in granting the privileges sought in said petition
neither the City of Paducah nor the Commissioners of Water Works shall be obligated to

buy said pipe line or any part thereof, and no such obligation shall be obtained or be
implied hereafter should the territory to be served by the water line to be laid under
the authority herein requested be taken into or made a part of the City of Paducah.
It is further understood that the petitioners will subscribe for water service at

the rates now or hereafter prescribed for water service to consumers outside the city
j
limits and subject in all respects to the rul es and regulations of the City of Paducah
or its Commissioners of Water Works which may be now in force or hereafter enacted.

Nothing in the granting of this petition shall obligate the City of Paducah or
its Commissioners of Water Works to guarantee water pressure or service and said water
service may be discontinued through said pipe line or any part thereof at any time
when in the judgment of the Commissioners of Water Works the furnishing of water to the
petitioners or their successors in ownership of the property now owned by them may
interfere in any wise with the adequate supply and distribution of water inside the
corporate limits of the City of Paducah. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas,

Election
Commissioner Clark offered motion that the Board of Commissioners receive, file

Sam Livingst� Mayor Cherry offered motion that the letter of Mr. Sam Livingston, dated March

and filed and that Mr. Livingston's resignation be accepted. Adopted on call of the
Roll, Yeas Commissioners Clark, Jacobs, Johnston, Morrow and Mayor Cherry (5).
Jack House ✓ Mayor Cherry offered the following motion: Sam Livingston having resigned

Golf Comm. as a member of the Paducah Golf Commission, subject to the approval of the Board of
Commissioners, I hereby appoint Jack House to serve as a member of the said commission
for the balance of the unexpired term of Sam Livingston, so that said board as now
constituted shall be composed of the following:
E. J. Paxton, Sr., whose term expires March 26, 1952
Ray Jacobs, whose term expires March 26, 1954
Jack House, whose term expires March 26, 1956

PRESCRIBING THE QUALIFICATIONS, TERMS OF OFFICE, POWERS AND DUTIES OF SAID COMMISSIONER3;
PRESCRIBING THE RULES BY WHICH THE BOARD OF CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSIONERS SHALL BE GOVERNED
