At a Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners held in the Commission Chamber
of the City Hall, Paducah, Kentucky, at 7:30 P.M. on February 26, 1952, Mayor Cherry
presided and upon call of the Roll the following answered to their names: Commissioners
Clark, Jacobs, Johnston, Morrow and Mayor Cherry (5).

Petition
Commissioner Clark offered motion that the petition of Mrs. Ruby Clark and approx-

imately seventy other signatures thereon, pertaining to the opening of Tennessee Street
from 13th Street to 19th Street and Old Mayfield Road be received and filed and that this
matter be referred to the City Manager for his investigation and his earliest possible
report and recommendation. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Clark,
Jacobs, Johnston, Morrow and Mayor Cherry (5).
Cemetery Gray
Commissioner Clark offered motion that the Board of Commissioners approve the sale

by the City of Paducah to Minnie Hodge of Grave No. 147 in Block No. 7 of the Rushing
Addition to Oak Grove Cemetery, and that the City Clerk be authorized to execute a deed
of conveyance to said cemetery grave. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners
Clark, Jacobs, Johnston, Morrow and Mayor Cherry (5).

upon the alleged misconduct of the police officers of the City of Paducah, which hearing
was held after accusations were made by Patrolman William Garrett when testifying before
the County Judge;

He therefore moved that the entire transcript of the testimony taken before the
City Manager be received and filed.
He further moved that the Paducah Sun -Democrat be requested to publish this
transcript in full if any part of it is to be published. Adopted on call of the Roll,

Commissioner Clark offered the following motion: The Board of Commissioners

having requested the City Manager to present to them any affidavits he may have obtained

when making an investigation concerning the record and activities of William F. Garrett,
a former police officer of the City of Paducah,
I therefore move that the affidavits of Correne Stringer Garrett and Juanita
Stringer delivered to this Board by the City Manager be received and filed.
I further move that the Paducah Sun -Democrat be requested to publish these affidavits
in full, if any part of them are to be publised. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas,

Street Light J Commissioner Johnston offered motion that the Board of Commissioners receive

and file the report of the Chief of Police relative to the need for a street light
at the corner of Main and Boone Streets and that the City Manager be directed to
authorize the Kentucky Utilities Coopany to install said street light. Adopted on
call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Clark, Jacobs, Johnston, Morrow and Mayor Cherry
(5).
Cemetery Grave Commissioner Johnston offered motion that the Board of Commissioners approve the
