At a Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissio ners held in the Commission
G Chamber of the City Hall, Paducah, Kentucky, at 7:30 P.M. on December 4, 1951, Mayor

Water Line / Commissioner Hannin offered motion that the petition of Henry Lambert and his

wife, Edith Lambert, residing on the Benton Road in McCracken Dounty, outside the corpor-
ate limits of Paducah, Kentucky, for authority to lay and construct a water line for the
purpose of providing water service to the building located on the property of petitioners
be received and filed and that the request in said petition be granted in accordance with
the terms as set forth therein.
It is understood, however, in granting the privilege sought in said petition
neither the City of Paducah, nor the Commissioners of Water Works shall be obligated to
buy said pipe line or any part thereof, and no such obligation shall be contained or be
implied hereafter should the territory to be served by the water line to be laid under the

authority herein requested be taken into or made a part of the City of Paducah.
It is further understood that the petitioners will subscribe for water service
at the rates now or hereafter prescribed for water service to consumers outside the city
limits of Paducah and subject in all respects to tie rules and regulations of the City of
Paducah or its Commissioners of Water Works which may be now in force or hereinafter
enacted.

Amend f ' Commissioner Thous offered the following motion:

Lighting I move that the City of Paducah enter into and execute with the Kentucky
Contract
Utilities Company a Supplemental Street Lighting Agreement for amendment of Article I of
the Contract entered into between the City of Paducah and the Kentucky Utilities Company
on August 30, 1940, as further amended by a Supplemental Agreement entered into be said
parties on November 25, 1941, and that Article I of said Street Lighting Contract be
amended to read as follows:
"ARTICLE I
"The Company agrees that it will furnish, erect, maintain, clean
repair and operate a street lighting system in the City of Paducah, Kentucky,
and the Customer agrees that it will receive and pay for such street -
lighting service in accordance with the terms set out hereih.
"The minimum street lighting service to be furnished by the Company
and received and paid for by the Customer shall consist of the following
number, size and type of street lights:
58 - 10000 lumen White Way lights
78 - 6000 lumen White Way lights
94 - 4000 lumen White Way lights
231 - 2500 lumen Overhead Suspension Street lights
324 - 4000 lumen Overhead Suspension Street lights
_5 - 1008 lumen Alley and Viaduct lights
837 - Total (As per Franchise)
6 Cast Iron Light posts on Fourth Street Bridge
100 Watt lamps each
4 Cast Iron Light posts on Sixth Street Bridge
100 Watt lamps each
"All of the above lights to burn every night from dusk to daylight.
"All the above equipment, including electric circuits, poles, fixtures, time -
switch, lamp and lamp replacements, etc., will be furnishedmaintained and operated
by the Company for the sums of -17,$60.00 per year, which amount shall be payable ,
in equal monthly installments of l,VW-47 each and these payments will be made
by the Customer to the Company on or before the 20th day of each month following
the month in which service is rendered."
