Proceedings of. Board of Commissioners City of Paducah October 9, 1951
At a Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners held in the Commission
Chamber of the City Hall, Paducah, Kentucky, at 7:30 P.M. on October 9, 1951, Mayor
Johnston presided and upon call of the Roll the following answered to their names:
Commissioners Hannin, Jacobs, Sims, Thomas and Mayor Johnston (5).
Minutes of the previous meeting were adopted as read.
Midwest Commissioner Hannin offered motion that the Board of Commissioners receive,

Certify Commissioner Sims offered motion that the letter of C.Warren Eaton, Corporation

Madison file the report of the Chief of Police and the City Manager relative to the need for

28 street lights at the intersection of 25th, 27th and 28th and Madison Streets and further
moved that the City Manager be directed to request the Kentucky Utilities Company to make
installation of these street lights. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners

Belt line Commissioner Thomas offered motion that the Board of Commissioners receive and

letter 1951, relative to the construction of sidewalks on the Belt Line Highway between 28th

Cemetery %� Commissioner Thomas offered motion that the Board of Commissioners approve the

Transfer transfer of Lot tic. 22 in Section "Y" of Oak Grove Cemetery from Braxton Kirk White
Ross Rutter,
and husband, George C. White, and Oneall Kirk Radebaugh and husband, Byrne Radebaugh, to
Ross Rutter, and that the City Clerk be authorized to make the proper transfer on the
Cemetery Register.

Board of Mayor Johnston offered motion that Charles Rawlings, Wayne Seaton and G. R. Haley

Appointed 1be appointed to serve as members of the Board of Equalization of the City of Paducah for

i' the year 1952, that the members of said board, after being first duly sworn to faithfully
discharge the duties of their office, be directed to meet at the City Hall on the 15th
j day of October, 1951, to elect from among themselves a Chairman and a Clerk, to notify
the City Auditor that they are ready to receive the assessment books and to then proceed
with the equalization of assessments on all real and personal property within the city
subject to taxation ih accordance with the provisions of law, the members of said board

Street Light Commissioner Jacobs offered motion that the City Manager be requested to have an

He further moved that if it is found these lights are needed that the City Manager
