wife., -oui3e Copeland, residing on Husbands Read outside the city limits of Paducah,
or �o lay and construct a water line for the purpose of providing water service
to c::, : i: -r , located on the property owned by them, be received and filed and that the
request in said petition be granted in accordance with the terms set forth thereih.
It is understood, however, in granting the privilege sought in said petition
neither the City of Paducah, nor the Commissioners of :Yater Works shall be obligated to
buy said pipe line or any part thereof, and no such obligation shall be contained or be
iL.plied hereafter should the territory to be served by the water line to be laid under
t -e authority herein requested be taken into or made a part of the City of Paducah.
It is further understood that the petitioners will subscribe for water service at
the rates now or hereafter prescribed for water service to consumers outside the city
limits and subject in all respects to the rules and regulations of the City of Paducah
or its Commissioners of Water Works which may be now in force or hereinafter enacted.
Nothing in the granting of this petition shall obligate the City of Paducah or it

xission to make two 3/4 inch connections to the 1J inch privately owned water pipe line
of R. !:. Bell to his property on North 36th Street, being Lots Nos. 19 and 20 in Bradshaw
Country Club Addition outside the city limits of Paducah, Kentucky, be received and filed
and the requests peritioned for therein be granted subject to the terms and conditions
contained in said petition.
It is understood, however, that in granting the privileges sought in said petition
r:aither the City of Paducah nor the Commissioners of :Yater Works shall be obligated to

Paducah in lieu of making available for inspection of the consultant employed by the city
all of the records pertaining to the company's gas business,
He further moved that the Mayor be requested to transmit to Mr. Watt a reply
reading as follows:

Acknowledging receipt of your letter of July lith, I wish to advise that the
records of your company we would like to have inspected by our consultant are those
pertaining to the distribution and sale of gas in Paducah. Since the matter with which
we are now concerned is one involving the reasonableness of gas rates, it is not our
desire to have examined at this time any records relating to the distribution and sale
of electricity. We would not need or expect you to permit us to make an examination
of the records of your company in all of its operations throughout the state of Kentucky.
Pkease let us know whether you would be willing to make available to our consultant all
of the records pertaining to your gas utility in Paducah,
