At a Regular Neeting of the Board of Commissioners held in the Commission Chamber
c' the City Hall, Paducah, Kentucky, at 7:30 P.M. on June 26, 1951, Mayor Johnston
,esided and upon call of the Roll the following qnswered to their names: Commissioners
�h-;nnin, Jacobs, Thomas and F:ayor Johnston (4).
NP6inutes of the previous meetings were adopted as read.
Commissioner Hannin offered the following motion: Benjamin Hughes, Forrest Brasure,
3.hsard Augustus, Charles L. Hall, Ernest Scott, John T. Davis, Marvin Marrs, Ora Holeman,
Laura Hayden file with the Mayor and Board of Commissioners a perition representing that
each of the above named parties is the owner of the respective property referred to in
said petition and that said property adjoins the street mentioned therein; and said
petitioners petition the Mayor and Board of Commissioners to authorize the laying of a
6" water main along Fairmony,Street from Division Street to 27th Street, a total distance
of approximately 485 feet.
it appears from the endorsement by the Board of Commissioners of the Paducah 'iter
Works that said request and petition complies with the franchise provisions and require-
ments.
I therefore move that the petition of Benjamin Hughes and others named herein be
received and filed and that the Paducah Water Works, through its Board of Conmissioners,
be authorized to lay said six inch main along Fairmony Street from Division Street to
27th Street, a distance of approximately 485 feet, so as to provide water service to
the lots abutting Fairmony Street from Division Street to 27th Street, a distance of
approximately 485 feet.
I further move that the adoption of this resolution and the granting of the request
contained in said petition be considered as an agreement on the part of the City of Paduca
to pay the fire hydrant and water main rental, as provided in the franchise, on the pipe
line and connection referred to in the petition, said rentals to begin when said water
rain has been laid and water provided for on said Fairmony Street from Division Street

Products Wayman Halliday d/b/a Halliday Plumbing & Heating Company for a period of one year from
June 4, 1951; also endorsement to be attached to Policy No. SGL -70053 issued to Geurin
Concrete Products by the Home Indemnity Compahy, dated June 6, 1951. Adopted on call
of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Hannin, Jacobs, Thomas and Mayor Johnston (4).
Rushing Add Commissioner Jacobs offered motion that the Board of Commissioners approve the

Henrietta sale by the City of Paducah to Henrietta Jones of Grave No. 105 in Block No. 7 of the

Rushing Addition to Oak Grove Cemetery, and that the City Clerk be authorized to execute
a deed of conveyance to said cemetery grave. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas,

directed to prepare for introduction at the next meeting an ordinance authorizing the

Water Line Commissioner Thomas offered the following motion; Guthrie May, the owner of
South 28th
Street Iproperty located on South 28th Street or Schmidt Street from Virginia Street and on
Guthrie Kay
Georgia Street from South 28th Street and on Cornell Street from South 28th Street,
all of which property is presently vaeant and said owner desires that extensions of the
