At a Rcgular ifecting of the Board of C0Imai93loners held in the Conmisslonersr
Chamber at the City Hall, Paducah, P.entucky, at 7:30 P.N;. on June 3, 1947,
ayor Seaton presided and upon call of the Roll the following answered to their nomas:
Ce—Issioners Friedlander, Johnston, Sims, ;7111iams and i.'ayor soaton (5).
Minutes of the previous meetin,- were adopted as read.
Commissioner Sims offered motion that the financial report of the Paducah 'iater
":forks for the month of Aorll, 1947, be received and filed. Adopted on call of the
Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Friedlander, Johnston, Sims, 'iiilliams and Wsyor Seaton (5).
Commissioner Friedlander offered motion that the inter departmental memorandum
of L. 11. Block, the Chief of Police, to Alr. Charles A. :711liams, the City tanager,
with reference to the claim of Air. John C. Lawless for damages on account of the
Filling of two of his chickens by trio officers who shot said chickens while in a
shooting affray with persons they were trying to arrest, that the City wanager and
City Treasurer be authorized to issue to the said John C. Lawless a check for x,5.00
in settlement of said claim, and that the amount of such payment be charged to the
account provided under the apportionment ordinance for settlement of suits and claims,

Commissioner Sims offered motion that the Board of Commissioners receive and
file the bids of the Sinclair Refining Company, the Arid -Continent Petroleum Corporati•
The Shell Gil Company and The Standard 011 Company for the sale of gasoline and
oil to the City of Paducah for a period of four (4) months beginning June lot, 1947.

and Fayor Seaton (5)
Cornissioner Sims offered motion that an ordinance entitled: "AN ORDINANCE
