Proceedings o. Board of Comnmisaionors City of Padncah October 11, 1949
At a Regular Meeting of the Loard of Commissioners held in the Commission Chamber
at the City Pall, Paducah, Kentucky, at 7:30 P.M. on October 11, 1949, Mayor Pro Tam
Johnston presided and upon call of the Roll the following answered to t!:eir names:
Commissioners Abell, Allen, Fannin and Mayor Pro Tom Johnston (4).
Minutes of the previous meeting were adopted as read.

lot located at 2303 Center Street, Earl Griffith, owner of a vacant lot located at
2312 Center Street and owner of a house and lot located at 2315 Center Street, Clyde Pr
Dorothy Reed, owner of a house and lot located at 2229 Cneter Street, Willie F. Sutton
owner of a house and lot located at 2219 Center Street, Mary Close, owner of a house a
lot located at 2201 Center Street Clifton Crawford, owner of a house and lot located a
2221 Center Street, 4hylor f Ermel Lambert, owner of a house and lot located at 2305
Center Street, and T. L. Brewer, owner of a house and lot located at 2202 Center Stree ,
file with the Mayor and Board of Commissioners a petition, representing that each of t e
above named parties is the owner of the respective property referred to in said petiti n,
and said parties petition the Mayor and Board of Commissioners for the extension of a ¢'
main along Center Street from Virginia Street to 24th Street, a distance of approximatgly
870 feet,
It appears from the endorsement by the Board of Commissioners of the Paducah Water
'Norks that said request and petition comply with the franchise provisions and require-
ments.
I therefore, move that the petition of Rhoda and Volvin Petway, and others, be
received and filed and that the Paducah :

Company, to the City Manager relating to their application for a permit to lay a
gas transmission line across the Paducah floodwall.
He further moved that the board receive, file and approve, subject to final
approval by the U.S.District Engineer at Louisville, Kentucky, the attached draft of a
permit to be issued for this purpose, to which permit is attached a map showing the

of Faducah for the year 1950, Viet the members of said board, after being first duly
sworn to faithfully discharge the duties of their office, be directed to meet at the
City Hall on the 15th day of October, 1949, to elect from among themselves a Chairman
and a Clerk, to notify the City Auditor that they are ready to receive the assessment
Vbooks, and to then proceed with the equalization of assessments on all real and por-
sonal property in the city subject to taxation in accordance with the provisions of
f law, the members of said board to receive for their services the amount fixed by
ordinance. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Abell, Allen, Hannin
