Proceedings of Board of Commissioners City of Poducoh April 1h 1947
At a Special Called Meeting of the Board of Commissioners held in the Cormnissioh-
ers Chamber at the City Hall, Paducah, Kentucky, at 7:30 o'clock P.M. on April 10, 1947,
Yayor Seaton presided and upon call of the Roll the following answered to their names:

Commissioners Friedlander, dilliams and Yavor Seaton, Commissioners Johnston and aims
being absent.
Notice of Commissioner Fir•edlnnder offered motion that the copy of the "Notice of Speclall iI
Veeting
Meeting" called by the Kayor and which was served on Commissioners Paul Friedlander,
J. C. Williams, C. G. Sims and Stuart Johnston, notifying said Commissioners of a
meeting to be held at 7:30 P.N. on April 10th, 1947, be received and filed. Adopted
on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Friedlander, 'Nilliams and Mayor Seaton (3).
Amend Build-6� Mayor Seaton offered motion that an ordinance entitled: "AN ORDINANCE

G- E. Jones Commissioner Williams offered the following motion:

construct k,11 WHEREAS, George Bernhard Jones has presented to the Board of Commissioners his
tobacco
prizing house application for permission to construct a tobacco prizing house fronting 160 feet on the
west side of South loth Street and extending back along Washington Street a distance
of 112 feet, said building which stall be approximately 18,000 square feet in area
havinv, a wooden floor and the sides being constructed with galvanized iron; and,
, —REAS, it appearing that said building will be located outside the congested
area of the city and its erection at that location will not create a hazardous con-
