St. Light Commissioner Abell offered motion that the inter departmental memo from the 11th & North Police Department and the City :•:anager regarding a street 11ght at the intersection of lith and ]forth Street be received and filed, and that the City anager be directed �1 to arrange for the installation of a li,,ht at this intersection. Adopted on call of the Fell, Yeas, Commissioners Abell, Allen, Ilannin and Mayor Pro Tem Johnston (4). Lend R Polic ,' Comndssioner Abell offered motion that the Loard of Commissioners receive, fil F. I;. Farley A.Paul Cwen and approve the bond executed by F. N. Parley d/b/a F. N. Farley Plumbing and ifeating I Company, in the amount of „'1,000 dated July 18, 1949; also the letter of "oodall & i:lton dated July 21, 1949, stating that public liability policy is being issued by the United States Fidelity w Guaranty Company, effective July 21, 1949, protecting the City of Paducah with respect to work done by A. Paul Oieen. Stuart Johnst n,,-- commissioner iannin offered the following motion: teayor Gene Peak having :,ayor Pro Tom departed this life on July 23rd, 1949; I move that Stuart Johnston, the E:ayor Pro Tem, be appointed to act as 1,:a,yor of the City of Paducah until a person to succeed the said 78yor Gene Peak and to serve during the remainder of his unexpired term has been elected at the next general election, that the said Stuart Johnston servo under the official title of Idayor Pro Tam and be paid the same salary of the regularly elected Vayor durinC said period.
