Commissioners Abell, Allen, Rannin and 1.ayor Pro Tem Johnston (4).
h;inutes of the previous meeting were adopted as read.
Commissioner Abell offered motion that the Board receive and file the
attached 1: tter of July 13, 1949 from Col. J. L. Person, U. S. ,District Engineer at
Louisville, in which he stated that the floodwall was turned over to the City of
Paducah for maintenance and operation effective 15 July 1949. Adopted on call of the
Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Abell, Allen, Hannin and Mayor Pro Tam Johnston (4).

Commissioner Abell offered motion that the board of Commissioners receive and
file copies of floodwall permits issued to Paducah Junior Chamber of Commorce to con-
struct wood sign, size.41 x 41 on floodwall right of %ray, Section B-2, Station 1234CC
and to ;Talker Boat 'lard to construct 1 1/2" galvanized water line across floodwall
right of •,•ray. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yana, Commissioners Abell, Allen, Hannin
and I:a.yor Pro ':en Johnston (4).
y Commissioner Hannin offered notion that the letter of •,v. Ii. (1,;ickey) Troutman
Trustee of the 6entucky Avenue Presbyterian Church be received and filed and that the
Board of Commissioners authorize the City Treasurer to exonerate the tax bill evidenci
the assessment of city taxes for 1949 against the four lots of said church located at
28th and Broadway, and that said church be exempt from the payment of taxes on said
lots for the reason that they are held and maintained for use as a new church and mans
