Proceedings of Board of Commissioners City of Paducah April 19, 1949
At a Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners held in the Commission

Chamber at the City Rall, Paducah, Kontucky, at 7:30 P.M. on April 19, 1949, Mayor Pro
Tem Johnston presided and upon call of the Roll the following answered to their names:i
Commissioners Abell, Allen, Fannin and Mayor Pro Tem Johnston (4).
Minutes of the previous meetings were adopted as read.
I� Septic Tank Commissioner Abell offered motion that the Board of Commissioners receive and file
Cunningham
petition the petition of Ar. and Mrs. Louis Bass and others, property owners residing on North
protesting
13th Street, Reed Avenue and Rudy Avenue, protesting against the condition in said
street and in the gutters by reason of the over -flow of a septic tank in use on the
Cunningham Tourist Court property, and that the Board of Commissioners urge the City -
County Health Department to take whatever action is necessary to abate the nuisance
caused by the over -flow of said septic tank. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas,
Commissioners Abell, Allen, Fannin and Mayor Pro Tam Johnston (4).

Liability Ins Commissioner Abell offered motion that the insurance policy issued by the Coal
Police
R.m.41F, Operators Casualty Company, No. LMC 14285, insuring Richard M. Bell and the City of
Paducah against liability imposed upon them as a result of excavation work :within the
City of Paducah be received, filed and approved. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas,
Commissioners Abell, Allen, Hannin and Mayor Pro Tem Johnston (4).
Street LighCommissioner Abell offered motion that the inter departmental memo from the
dead end of r
Jonas 3t Police Department and the City Manager regarding a street light at the dead end of Jongs
Street be received and filed, and that the City Manager be directed to arrange for the
Installation of a light at this location. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas,
Commissioners Abell, Allen, Fannin and Mayor Pro Tom Johnston (4).

Sell 2 lots ✓ Commissioner Allen offered motion that the bid of A.E.(Jack) Cole for the purchase
to A.7.(Jack)
Cole of two lots on the south side of Madison Street between 21st and 22nd Streets in the
sum of .?;300.00 be received and filed, and that the attorney for the city prepare for
introduction at the next meeting an ordinance authorizing the acceptance of such offer1)

recuest sale of such franchise under which the purchaser would be required to operate a garbag
disposal system within that area of the City of Paducah generally bounded on the east
by Gth Street, on the south by Jackson Street, on the west by the city limits and
on thn north by Park t -venue, be received and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll,
