Proceedings o% Poard of Commissioners Citp of Paducah -April 12 1949
At a Regular meeting of the .card of Commissioners held in the Commissioners'
Chamber at the City }fall, Paducah, Kentucky, at 7:30 P.M. on April 12, 1949, Mayor Pro
Tam Johnston presided and upon call of the Roll the following answered to their names:
Commissioners Abell, Allen, Fannin and M9ayor Pro Tam Johnston (4)
Minutes of the previous meeting were adopted as read.

Commissioner Allen offered motion that the petition of Mfrs. Minnie Schmsua for
Cairo Road

permission to extend a privately owned water pipe line from a point on the Cairo Road
s distance of approximately 80 feet so as to furnish water to two residences of said
petitioner on the Cairo Road located outside the city limits of Paducah, Kentucky,

be received and filed and the requests petitioned for therein be granted subject to
the terms and conditions contained in said petition.
It is understood, however, that in granting the privileges sought in said petitlo
neither the City of Paducah nor the Commissioners of Plater Plorks shall be obligated toll
buy said pipe line or any part thereof, and no such obligation shall be obtained or be'
implied hereafter should the territory to be served by the water lines to be laid under
the authority herein requested be taken into or made a part of the City of Paducah.
It is further understood that the petitioners will subscribe for water service at !
the rates now or hereafter proscribed for water service to consumers outside the city
limits and subject in all respects to the rules and regulations of the City of Paducah
or its Commissioners of Water Works which may be now in force or hereinafter enacted.
Nothing in the granting of this petition shall obligate the City of Paducah or its
Commissioners of Water Works to guarantee water pressure or service and said water

service may be discontinued through said pipe line or any part thereof at any time
when in the judgment of the Commissioners of Pater Works the furnishing of water to the
petitioner or her successors in ownership of the property now owned by her may interf i e
in any wise with the adequate supply and distribution of water inside the corporate

Mayor Pro Tem Johnston offered motion that the Corporation Counsel be instructed
to prepare for introduction at the next meeting an ordinance which will designate

certain areas recommended by the City Engineer and City ;(anger for the dumping of all;
kinds of refuse and which will provide severe penalties for dumping elsewhere within

the city. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Abell, Allen, Fannin and;

Commissioner Allen offered motion that the Board of Commissioners receiveand file)
the letter of the Ohio 011 Company in whist notice is goven the City of Paducah that the
price of yr, 1-2-3 Liquid Asphalts to be purchased by said city has been reduced to
'0.1070 per gallon 1n tank car quantities, and that the price of RC -3 Liquid Asphalt was
also reduced to ,,PO.1095 per gallon for delivery in the same manner, effective March 30i
1949; also the letter of the City Manager to the Ohio Oil Company dated April 11, 1949

and Tennessee Streets be received and filed, and that the City Manager be directed to
arrange for the installation of a light at this 1 -cation. Adopted on call of the Roml,

SHALL BE MADE UPON THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS SET FORTH THEREIN", be introduced and
