Commissioners Abell, Allen, %annin and Mayor Pro Ibm Johnston (4). Y,inutes of the previous meeting were adopted as read. j Commissioner Allen offered motion that the petition of Oving Lee and his wile, Water line, Helen Ruth Lee residing on Lindberg Street outside the corporate limits of Paducah, LindberG ✓ St Kentucky, for authority to connect a three-fourths inch water pipe line to the three Inch privately owned water line owned by Emmett Helm, A. B. Smith, John Sheppard, T.C. i Dickerson, Edwin Hancock, Sr., Mrs. J. C. Wilks and others, for the purpose of providl.6 water service for domestic purposes to the residence of said petitioners, be received and filed and that the requests in said petition be granted in accordance with the terns set forth therein. It is understood, however, that in granting the privileges sought in said petition, neither the City of Paducah nor the Commissioners of Water 'Norks shall be obligated to buy or maintain said pipe line to be constructed by said petitioners, or any part thereof, and no such obligation shall he obtained or be implied hereafter should the territory to be served by the water mains to be laid under the authority herein requested be taken into or made a part of the City of Paducah. It is further understood that the petitioners will subscribe for .vater zervice at the rates now or hereafter prescribed for water service to consumers outs. the city limits and subject in all respects to the rules and regulations of the City of Paducah or its Commissioners of water works which may be now in force or hereinaf enacted. Nothing in the granting of this petition shall obligate the City of Pa or its Commissioners of 'Water Works to guarantee water pressure or service, and said rater service may be discontinued through said pipe line or any part thereof at any time when in the judgment of the Commissioners of Plater 'works the furnishing of water to any of the petitioners or their successors in ownership of the property owned by them may interfere in any wise with the adequate supply and districution of :nater inside the corporate limits of the City of Paducah. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Abell, Allen, Hannin and Mayor Pro Tem Johnston (4) Street Light` Conanissioner Abell offered motion that the inter departmental memo from the Police Dead-end / 'I Parnes St Department and the City Manager regarding a street light at the dead-end of Barnes Street be received and filed, and that the City Manager be directed to arrange for the installation of a street light at this location. R.G.Yatheson�Commissioner Abell offered motion that the Board of Commissioners receive and file letter -Dump the letter of R. G. Matheson, President of the Rotary Club of Paducah, in which he quotes a resolution of the Rotary Club requesting the passage of an ordinance setting up restricted zones for the dumping of refuse and that proper ordinances be passed i :rakiaf the violation of the ordinance punishable by serious enough action to discourage permiscuous violation thereof.
