At a Regular "'oetinr of the Em rd of Commissioners hold In the Commissioners
Cham1cer at the City hall, Paducah, Kentucky, at 7:30 P.Y!. on December 21, 1948, Mayor
Pro Tam Johnston presided and upon call of the Roll the following answered to their
names: Commissioners Abell, Allen, Rannin and Mayor Fro Tem Johnston (4).
Minutes of the previous meeting were adopted as read.

Police Car ✓III Commissioner Abell offered motion that the throe (3) estimates of the cost of
gyre -Lackey
Repair repairing the 1947 Plymouth police car recently damages in a collision with another
car, one estimate of $341.55 made by King -Woodall Motor Sales, another of e202.95
made by SmithsonTs Body Service and another of $180.95 made by Myre-Lackey Motor Co.
be received and filed, and that the Chief of Police be authorized to have said
automobile repaired for the amount of 8,180.95, the lowest of the three (3) estimates.
He further moved that the cost of said repairs be charged to Account No. 3185
provided for machine parts used in the police department, and that an appropriate
transfer of a sufficient amount to this fund be made when other public funds are
transferred by ordinance. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Abell,
Allen, Iiannin and Mayor Pro Tom Johnston (4).
Report of `cd. Commissioner Allen offered motion that the report of the Board of Equalization
of Equalization
1949 for the year 1949 to received, filed and spread upon the Minutes. Adopted on call
of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Abell, Allen, Hannin and Mayor Pro Tem Johnston (4).
"REPORT OF BOARD OF E.,^•UALIZATION OF
THE CITY OF PADUCAH
The Board of Equalization of the City of Paducah for the year 1949, respectfully
submits to the Board of Commissioners of said City the following report:
(1) The board has compared the real estate assessments for the year 1949
with the plat books of said city and as far as it was possible to do, has caused
every parcel of real estate in the city to be assessed for taxation.
I� (2) The Board has increased or decreased assessments on like property- in order
to make all assessments uniform or has placed a true value on all property. A record
of the action taken by said Board with reference to all assessments, has been
entered in the assessment boors as required by law. The Loard has completed its work
of equalizing assessments and a proper entry has been made in the assessment book
showing each and every increase and decrease made by them.
(3) All compliants made agninst assessments have been heard and determined.
(4) The City Assessor is directed to prepare for the oard, upon theassessments
shown in the assessment book and upon the assessments entered by them in said book, a
statement showing the gross assessments of real property and of personal property,
and the total of both, and the increase or decrease made by the board of EquallzatI
and filed as required under the provisions of the Kentucky Revised Statutes, 92,440.
(5) The Board has remained in session as lonr as the.tualness of equalizing
assessments hos required, and by the unanimous vote of its members, has formally
adjourned as Of t..is date, December 18, 1948.
(6) The Fonrd wishes to express its appreciation for the cooperation given by
Piss
Mabel Troutman, the City Assessor, in all matters pertaining to the assessment of
property. !.Tins Troutman nave the Board invaluable assistance and deserves to to i
commended.

Cemetery Lot Commissioner Hannin offered motion that the Board of Commissioners approve the
