Proceedings of Board of Commissioners City of Paducah January 14th, 1947 1
At a Regular Meeting of the board of Commissioners held in the Commissioners'
is
Chamber at the City Hall, Paducah, Kentucky, at 7:30 o'clock P.Id. on January 14, 1947,
Iia?or Seaton presided and upon call of the Roll the following answered to their names:

Minutes of the previous meeting were adopted as read.
Squirt Bottling
Commissioner Sims offered motion that the Loard of Commissioners receive and filI I

tion from taxes+
the application of David C. Rogers doing business as the Squirt Bottling Company
In which he requests that his bottling plant and real estate at 800-802 South Fifth
Street in the City of Paducah, Kentucky, be exempt from municipal taxation for a
period of five years, together with the affidavit of the said David C. Rogers in
support of said application, the letter of C. 111. Craig, Secretary of the [ianufacturers,
and 'Wholesalers Association, recommending that the exemption be granted, and the
letter of David R. Reed, Assistant Corporation Counsel, in which he advises that the
said David C. Rogers is entitled by aiaw to the exemption for which he has applied.
Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Friedlander, Johnston, Sims,

Liability Policy - Commissioner Williams offered motion that the Board of Commissioners receive,

approve and file the contractor's liability insurance policy issued by the Fidelity
and Casualty Company of New York, Policy No. S-24092, insuring the operations of
Vandevelde & Augustus as required under the provisions of an ordinance entitled:
"AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND AN ORDIN:.NCE ENTITLED: 'AN ORDINANCE REGULATING THE DIGGING,
OPENING OR EXCAVATING IN ANY STREET, SIDEWALK, GRASS PLOT, ALLEY OR OTHER PUBLIC
PLAY OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY AND FIXING THE PENALTY FOR ANY VIOLATION THEREOF",
which was adopted by the Board of Commissioners on September 24, 1946. Adopted on
