Howard and a�:n ?d. his wife, Ruby :ac Howard, Robert H. Veatch and his wife, Dorris Veatch, residing on Hovekamp Read adjacent to the Oaks Road outside the corporate limits of Paducah, ,crtucky, for authority to lay and construct ,,'later lines for the purpose of providing water service to the buildings located on the property of petitioners be received .i and filed and that the request in said petition be granted in accordance with the terms set forth therein. 'hI N It is understood, however, in granting the privilege sought in said petition %! neither the City of Paducah nor the Commissioners of 'Vater Works shall be obligated to IIbuy said pipe line or any part thereof, and no such obligation shall be contained or b implied hereafter should the territory to be served by the water line to be laid under the authority herein requested be taken into or made a part of the City of Paducah. Jones for a permit alley to construct a roof over and across an alley between the tobacco warehouse owned by i, him. Release bond r� Commissioner Allen offered motion that the Eoard of Commissioners receive and Rini-';;oodall� file the instrument releasing the Cine-Y;oodall motor Sales Company, principal, and the United States Fidelity and Guaranty Company, surety, from all liability under the bond in the sum of 11,2000 executed and delivered to the City of Paducah by them in connec- tion with the purchase of three (3) 1948 Plymouth automobiles. Holiday is yor Pro Tam Johnston offered the following motion: July 4th being on July 4, v Sunday this year, I move that all city employees, with the exception of the police and fire department personnel, be allowed a holiday Monday, July 5th, 1948.
