j At a Regular 'Meting of the board of Commissioners hold in the Commiasionera+
Chamber at the City hall, Paducah, Kentucky, at 7:30 P.M. on June 15th, 1948,
.Ymyor Pro Tem Johnston presided and upon call of the Roll the following answered
to their names: Commissioners Abell, Allen and &Mayor Pro Tem Johnston (3).

Benton Road

Lena 11. F.oatwright residing on Benton Road outside the corporate limits of Paducah,
Kentucky, for authority to lay and construct a water line for the purpose of providing
{ water service to the building located on the property of petitioner be received and
I' filed and that the request in said petition be granted in accordance with the terms
set forth therein.
It is understood, however, in granting the privilege sought in said petition
neither the City of Paducah, nor the Commissioners of Water Works shall be obligated
to buy said pipe line or any part thereof, and no such obligation shall be contained
or be implied hereafter should the territory to be served by the water line to be laid
under the authority herein requested be taken into or made a part of the City of Paduc h.
It is further understood that the petitioner will subscribe for water service at
the rates now or hereafter prescribed for water wervice to consumers outside the city
limits and subject in all respects to the rules and regulations of the City of Paducah
or its Commissioners of ''.Vater Works which may be now in force or hereinafter enacted.
Nothing in the granting of this petition shall obligate the City of Paducah or it
Commissioners of ,later 1.7orks to guarantee water pressure or service, and said water
service may be discontinued through said pipe line at any time when in the judgment
of the Commissioners of 'Water 67orzs the furnishing of :eater to the petitioners or that
successors in ownership of the property owned bay interfere in any wise with the
adequate supply and distribution of water inside the cw porate limits of the City of

north side of Clay Street between Third and Fourth Streets at the back entrance to tie

Iie further moved that the City Manager be requeated to have said street light
installed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Abell, Allen and Mayor
Pro Tem Johnston (3).
Cemotery Lot!; Mayor Pro Tam Johnston offered the following motion: John Iseman having pre-

Jain Iseman li sented to the Board of Commissioners his deed of conveyance to Lot 18 in Section "Y"
iof Oak Grove Cemetery, fronting or abutting on the Southerly side of Unple Avenue or
Street, which deed was executed by Mrs. Cora Iseman, widow of Tony Iseman,-
I move that said transfer be approved and that the City Cleric be authorized to

Payor Pro Tem Johnston offered motion that the Board of Commisaionera receive
and file the proposal submitted by Copeland P.: Keel for the handling of tax 'quits for
the City of Paducah. Adapted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commlaaioners Abell, Allen
and Mayor Fro Tam Johnston (3).
Rayor Pro Tem Johnston offered motion that the reslrnation of Edward Garlick
as a member of the Board of Commissioners of the City of Paducah, said resignation
having been transmitted by a telegram transmitted to the Mayor and the board of
commissioners reading as follows:
