Propane Gas Commissioner Abell offered motion that the Board of Commissioners receive and file tanks letters certain letters .,.hich have been written with reference to the question as to the I advisability of granting a permit to Airlene Gas Oompany for the installation of a gas tank upon the property of J. B. Snyder on Wallace ^Lane, these letters teing identified Iles follows: I Ll(1) Letter of Victor C. Hobday written to the "Mayor and Board of Commissioners dated May 18th, 1948. (2) Copy of letter written by Victor C. Hobday to Geo. H. Parker, Manager of the (Kentucky Inspection Bureau, dated dray 12, 1948. (3) Inter -Departmental dsmorandum written by E.H.Bowman, to the d:ayor and the ��..ard of Commissioners dated 1.%y 18, 19482 and (4) Inter-Departmehtal iaemorandum written by F.;l.Gholson to the Mayor and members of the Board of Codmissioners dated Xay 17, 1948. Ohio River Commissioner Allen offered motion 'that the letter of Henry 41ard, Commissioner of Valley Sanitation- Conservation, enclosing a statement of plans for the program of plans at ceremonies Henry ',lard to be held at Cincinnati, Ohio on June 30th for entering into the Ohio River Valloy Sanitation Compact by the various states interested in solving the problem of preventing the pollution of the Ohio River and its tributaries, be received and filed. Transfer Puna Mayor Pro Tem Johnston offered motion that the Attorney for the City be Airport v directed to prepare for introduction at the next meeting an ordinance providing for the appropriation of the sum of $2500 to the Paducah Airport Corporation for use in defraying one-half of the expense for constructing and installing a neer lighting system at the Paducah -McCracken County Airport, the other one-half to be paid by the County, and that said ordinance provide for the transfer of the sum of .$2500.00 from the contingent fund for the purpose of making said appropriation.
