Board of Commissioners Ciry of Podvcoh April 27, 1948 At a Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners held in the Commissioners Chamber at the City Hall, Paducah, Kentucky, at 7:30 P.M. on April 27, 1948, i hayor Fro Tem Uohnston presided in the absence of Mayor Peak and upon call of the Roll the following answered to their names: Commissioners Abell, Allen, Carlick and t✓ayor Pro Tem Johnston (4) Minutes of the previous meeting were adopted as read. i' Recreational y Commissioner Abell offered motion that the McCracken County Recreational Commute committee use lot ad- �' be permitted to use during the year 1948 the lot of the City of Paducah which adjoins joining No. 2;:1 Fire Station j Fire Station No. 2 as a site for conducting recreational programs for children residlreg In that neighborhood, said lot to be used as a playground, volleyball court, and for whatever sports the Committee may wish to sponsor. Church Softball Commissioner Abell offered motion that the Church softball league be exempt from League exempt, from soft the payment of a license for selling cold drinks at the softball playground located on drink Lic. the property of the Paducah Board of Education at 23rd and Washington Street, said i exemption to apply during the year 1948. Bradley. City Engineer City tanager, transmitting the report of :.r. T. A. Bradley, the City Engineer, with Floodwall reference to the condition of the Paducah floodwall and the pumping stations, to- gether with the detailed report prepared by Mr. Bradley, be received and filed. Liability policy Commiasionor Abell offered motion that the Board of Commissioners receive, file Lbond C.Reed and approve the public liability policy issued by the Fidelity 'c Casualty Company of New York in the name of the City of Paducah covering construction or erection work done by E. C. Reed from I•?ay 6, 1948 to r.:ay 6, 1949; together with the bond of the said E. C. :Reed issued by said company in the sum of ,,1000 covering the period from May 2, 1948 to May 2, 1949, which bond and insurance policy aro required under the provisions of an ordinance adopted by the Board of Commissioners on September 24, 1946.
