Minutes of the previous meetings were adopted as read. I ;Tater Co. Commissioner Abell offored motion that the Financial Report of the Paducah Report t:ov. .,_ter forks for the month of November, 1947, be received and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yess, Commissioners Abell, Allen, Carlick, Johnston and Mayor Peak (5) Fetition Mayor Peak offered motion that the petition signed by Carl A. Torun and 49 Carl 'forian at al ,/J other property owners in the vicinity of "C" street, in which they state that they arc Fall. De Mayor Peak offered motion that the letter of J. Samuel Hartt, the appraiser appointed by the Kentucky Utilities Company, to evaluate the properties of said company in the City of Paducah, and of L. R. Howson, the a[ -praiser appointed by the City to make an appraisal of said property, in which letter said appraisers ask for an extension of time to February 15th, 1948 to complete their appraisal report, to received and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Abell, Allem, Carlick, Johnston and Mayor Peak (5). Mayor Peak offered motion that the copy of the letter o.f Adrian H. Terrell, Attorney, addressed to Mir. 71. R. Nagel, Chairman, Board of Adjustment, in which he advises that the Pbard of Adjustment, City Planning and Zoning is not authorized to hear the appeal filed by C. G. Sims and R. B. Morrow protesting against the ordinance adopted by the City Planning and Zoning Commission zoning for business use the property between the hayfield Road and "C" Street be received and filed. Adopted on Call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Abell, Allen, Carlick, Johnston and mayor Peak Mayor Peale offered motion that the City Manager be requested to make an investigation for the purpose of determining whether a river terminal might be constructed in the City of Paducah, the same to be financed by the issuance of revenu bonds, and if construction of such terminal is feasible and economical at this time, that the manager report to the board the plans and specifications prepared by him and the estimated cost of said project.
